Today is day one of a two day blog hop celebrating the Simon Says Stamp Just For You release. I love Easter and Spring because it is a season of my favorite colors and things. This release makes me so happy! My favorite product from the release is the Magical Spring stamp set which I will be using for a "one stamp, five ways" post on the SSS blog on March 31st. Yesterday I posted a card using the Mother's Day Bouquet Stamp and the Leaf Edges cling stamp. Here is an image of the card and you can see that blog post HERE.
I have a slimline card to share with you today using the new Easter Critters stamp set and matching dies. It can also be purchased as a set as shown here:
MY CARD:
I die-cut a rectangle using the SSS Nested Slimline Rectangle Die out of white cardstock. I then rubbed Pawsitively Saturated Ink over it using a Mini Domed Ink Blending Foam applicator. I used a mixture of Marine and Seafoam on the top for the sky and Trio 2 for the grass. I attached this inked piece to a white slimline card base.
I stamped all of the images in the new Easter Critters stamp set on white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I colored them all in with colored pencils. I die-cut them out with the matching set of dies. I arranged them over the background using foam tape underneath the top of each image and gluing down the bottom. I cut some of the grassy parts off the two images I didn't use to add some more eggs and grass around the bottom.
I embossed the "loving you" sentiment with Tim Holtz Kitsch Flamingo embossing glaze and cut around it. I attached that to the center of the top of the card. I stamped a second sentiment below it with black ink. I added some drops around the sky with Iceberg Blue Nuvo Jewel Drops. I used Nuvo Glitter Drops over all of the decorated eggs, flowers, and butterflies.

I loved this card, and all the details of how it was created...sometimes that makes a big difference in whether I think I can "copy" or not.
