I made a fun card today to share with you using the PinkFresh Studio Poppy Mix Cling Stamp. As you know, I love flowers and especially love coloring flowers. This stamp might have required the most coloring I've ever done for one card. Think of it as a coloring book. I colored it as I was watching Bachelor last night as coloring relaxes me allowing me not to freak out at the absurdity of the show hahaha. Here is an image of the cling stamp:
Here is my card:
I stamped the Poppy Mix cling stamp with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I then spent quite a few hours coloring it with colored pencils. I decided to color teh background with a black pencil as I thought it would make the flowers pop more, but it also gave me the ability to cover all of my mistakes. I just colored over what I didn't like with a black pencil! I wasn't sure about my color combo. My daughter hated it. But I love it! I mean, I can't use PINK on everything!
I die-cut it with the SSS A2 Thin Frame Die and attached it to a white cardstock card base. It looked nice against burnt orange or light pink, but I felt like white was the best bet with white in the sentiment. For the sentiment, I used the SSS Greetings Trio dies from the Be Creative release. I die-cut the Get Well Soon die from white cardstock as well as a piece of red/orange cardstock in the SSS Color Blend cardstock. I attached foam tape behind the white one so the letters stayed in place. Then I glued the red letters over the white ones. I attached this to the center of the card.
I used some sequins from the Autumn Leaves sequin mix AGAIN! I keep going back to this mix! I love how it had all of the colors in my card in it. I also used some Chalk Stick Vintage Nuvo Drops around the sentiment.
That's it! My most time consuming card ever, but oh so fun to color! I just love all of the floral stamps by PinkFresh, but their cling stamps particularly appeal to me. This one is called Poppy Mix and is available at Simon Says Stamp. Thanks so much for visiting [email protected] Suzy
