Today I have a card to share using a lovely flower stamp I recently bought by Pink Fresh called Blooming Peony cling stamp. I also used a product from the SSS Be Creative release called Big and Bold 2 stamp and die bundle for the sentiment. Here are images of both products:
And here is my card:
I stamped the Pink Fresh Blooming Peony cling stamp on a piece of Arches watercolor paper with Latte Pawsitively Saturated Ink. My plan was to do a no-outline watercolor with this stamp. I then started painting it with my Karin Brushmarkers (always because I love the intensity of the colors in the 60 set). I used a wet paintbrush to move some of the color to the background. I also touched my paintbrush to the tip of the Olive Green marker to add more color.
This is just a second version with a different color greeting as I couldn't decide which one I liked better!. I used a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen over all of the flowers for extra sparkle! I also like that they have a watercolor type brush tip that can move the watercolor around a bit here and there where needed.
I then outlined the images with a fine tip Micron marker adding two little doodled outlines with lines in them to cover all of my mistakes where the markers seeped out of the lines! Karin Markers don't always stay where you want them which can be a good thing or a bad thing! That's why I usually use them with embossed images. I die-cut this piece with the SSS Basic Rectangle Dies and attached it to a light pink cardstock card base.
I embossed two of the "thanks" stamp in the SSS Big and Bold 2 stamp set and cut them out with the matching dies. Sentiment sets are when I always invest in dies as I love how perfect they look die-cut out. I embossed the sentiment with both Nuvo Strawberry Slush embossing powder (the darker one) and Tim Holtz embossing glaze in Kitsch Flamingo (the lighter one). I couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I attached the lighter one with foam tape underneath it and then laid the other one over it for my pictures! I added some Honeybee Happy Hearts Pearl Stickers around the sentiment.
So, which "thanks" do you prefer - the lighter or the darker? I ended up preferring the lighter as it is smoother and the Nuvo embossing powder went on really bumpy. I hope you enjoyed this card using the Pink Fresh Blooming Peony cling stamp and the SSS Big and Bold 2 stamp set from the Be Creative release. Have a great weekend! Suzy
