I have been blogging every night this week so far - go me! I have ANOTHER Valentine's Day card to share with you. As you can tell, I love making them. And I again used my Karin Brushmarkers which are getting quite a work out this week. I used the Jumbled Heart Cling Stamp from the SSS Hugs release this time. Here is an image:
And here is my card:
I embossed the Jumbled Hearts cling stamp with white embossing powder on Arches watercolor paper. I love painting cling stamps with my Karin Brushmarkers - the watercolor ones. But I have to have embossed edges to keep the colors where they belong. I used pinks, purples, and blues in several shades on each heart. I first wet it liberally and then applied ink to just portions of the heart and let it do it's thing!
I die-cut my painted piece with the largest die in the SSS Basic Rectangle Dies and attached it to a white card base. I then die-cut the CZ Love You die from last year twice - one from white cardstock and one from the same watercolor paper. I then painted that one with the same color of Karin Brushmarkrs so it matched the background.
I glued the painted letters over the white one and attached it to the card front with foam tape behind it. I pulled out my sequins and found some purple, blue, and pink ones that matched from several different sets and glued them around the sentiment.
I keep making Valentine's Day cards in non-Valentine's Day colors! I guess I just think of reds and pinks for this holiday. But this card could actually be for any time of the year - so there is that! I hope you enjoyed this take on the Jumbled Heart cling stamp. I have some other ideas for it to try next as it is quite fun to color! Thanks for visiting - is anyone visiting? I always wonder as my email notification list doesn't work! xoxo suzy
