Today is the second day of a two day blog hop celebrating the Simon Says Stamp Hugs and Kisses release. Hugs was released in December when it was too busy for a blog hop and Kisses was just released this week, so they were combined for this hop. I have a couple of cards to share with you using some of the new products from the Kisses release. I also shared a card yesterday using the CZ Hi There Greetings stamp set. You can see that blog post here and here is the card:
My cards for the blog hop use the new Painted Heart Wreath and the Love You So Much Die as shown here:
Here are my two cards and at the end of this blog post, I will have all of the details of the hop.
I made one of the cards above and then I didn't like how it turned out, so I made a second version. They ended up very much alike and I ended up liking both of them!
I die-cut a rectangle using the SSS A2 Thin Frame Die for the card front using Neenah white cardstock. I then used my Karin Brusmarkers to color each part of the Painted Wreath Cling Stamp. I did one element at a time, but you could do more and just breathe heavy on the ink to keep it wet. I used multiple colors on each item. I've never used these watercolor markers on a cling stamp and on regular cardstock and it worked really well! You don't have to use them with water. I just love how they look watercolored though. The stamp lends to that look with the white spots on each element. I hung the wreath off the edge of one side of the card, but you could center it and let it hang over both sides instead if you wanted. I saw a card by Caly that used it that way and it looked really good.
For the sentiment, I used a piece of paper I had painted with Nuvo Shimmer Powders. I paint mixed media paper with Shimmer Powders all the time to use for card backgrounds and for die-cutting as I love the look of them. My grandkids love using the powders too, so they make me backgrounds as well! They are quite easy to use and it's fun to mix colors. I die-cut the "Love You So Much" die out of a piece that is painted with Green Parade and Atlantis Burst. I also die-cut it out of white cardstock and layered the letters over the painted one. I attached that inside the opening in the wreath. I finished the card by adding some Nuvo Drops around the wreath..
I made the wreath exactly the same way. This was actually my first one now that I look at it as I remember now why I wasn't happy with it. I didn't like the olive color I used for the leaves in the middle left side. So I made a second one with leaves that matched the others which is my first card. I die-cut this one to be smaller than the first one. I mounted it on a pink card base.
For this Love You So Much die, I used a piece of paper I had made with Shimmer Powders in Cherry Bomb and Lilac Waterfall. I added Nuvo Drops and some sparkling clear sequins around the wreath.

Starting at the top, first I saw your Hello Friend card, it is a bright & happy card that would make any recipient feel loved. You used that awesome stamp set to the max. Then I scrolled on farther down and found your two Love You Very Much cards, it would be near impossible for me to pick a favorite color scheme on that one, each one is a beautiful as the other. Three awesome cards. Thank You so much for sharing them.
