Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using the SSS "A Glazing Day" stamp set from the Hugs release last month. I've also incorporated some of the other new products in this release so you can see how they work together. This stamp set is sold as a bundle with a matching set of dies as you can see here:
The bundle is currently out of stock, but the A Glazing Day stamp set and the A Glazing Day Dies are both in stock separately. Here are my five cards:
I stamped all of the images with Latte Pawsitively Saturated Ink which I use for no-line coloring. I used Copic Markers to color the images. I added details with a white Uniball gel pen. I die-cut the images out with the matching dies.
I die-cut a rectangle with the Mama Elephant B2B Rectangle Dies. I then applied some Watermelon Pawsitively Saturated Ink very lightly on the center of the rectangle darkest in the center and lighter as I moved out toward the edge. I attached it to a red cardstock card base. I embossed the sentiment with Carnation Red embossing powder. I cut around it and then positioned all of the images with the sentiment in the center. I finished it off with Nuvo Drops over all of the cookie and donut elements. These were just as fun to decorate as the homemade heart sugar cookies I make each year!
I stamped a few of the stamps multiple times on a piece of white cardstock with Intense Black Ink using my "random stamping method". I used just the small heart, the Love heart cookie and the cupcake so it wasn't too busy. I then colored them all in with Copic Markers using a variety of colors. I figured since the little hearts are in all the colors, I could use all the colors too! I used a white Uniball gel pen over the cookies and a red glitter pen over the Love letters.
I die-cut the Simple Valentine's Day die also from the Hugs release twice from white cardstock. I colored one of the letters with pink Copics to match the pink in the card. I used darker pink on the outside parts so it looked shaded. I glued that over the other one so the letters were more dimensional. I used the Lawn Fawn Just Double Stitching die on the outside edges of the card. I attached the sentiment with foam tape beneath it. I added some Shocking Pink Nuvo Drops around the sentiment.
I used the Large Chevron Stencil to make the background with Pawsitively Saturated Inks. I used Guava, Carnation, and Latte. I die-cut this piece out with a rectangle die and attached it to a card base using Heffy Doodle Bubblegum Blush cardstock. Cool background - I really like this stencil!
I die-cut the Highlight Heart die from white cardstock. I stamped one of the donuts and small hearts with Latte Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I die-cut them out with the matching dies and arranged them with the heart over the stenciled background. I then stamped a sentiment from the stamp set with Lawn Fawn Doe Ink and cut around it. I attached that to the top of the heart and added some Watermelon Wonder Jewel Nuvo Drops (alert: new awesome color!) around the heart and some Chalk Stick drops around the background.
I used Nuvo Shimmer Powders and Arches Coldpress watercolor paper for this card. I love making random backgrounds ahead of time and then finding them just when I need them! This one was made with Solar Flare and a new one I just got called Fantail Firecracker on the top and some of that mixed with Cherry Bomb for the bottom. I love all the splotches or fireworks as I call them on the top! I also made an extra piece of the yellow and die-cut the Fancy Love die from it. I die-cut the background with an A2 Thin Frame Die and attached it to white cardstock. I die-cut the Fancy Love die from white cardstock as well and glued the yellow painted work over it and attached that to the bottom of the card.
I stamped sending lots of love with Walnut Lawn Fawn ink (I had to cut the "of" from the bottom of it to stamp it in a strip). I used the thinnest die in the SSS Sentiment Label dies. I attached that above the word love. I stamped several of the images in the A Glazing Day set and colored them in with colored pencils. I attached those to the top of the card. I used Chalk Stick Nuvo Drops over the white areas, Holly Berry Jewel Drops over the red hearts. and Chocolate Fondue Glitter Drops over the brown strips on the cookie. I used a white Uniball to add latte lines over the Love cookie so it looked like coconut. I used Party Pink Nuvo drops around the background.
I die-cut a piece of Arches cold press watercolor paper using the largest die in the SSS Nested Slimline Rectangle Dies. I then embossed all of the images in the stamp set randomly over it with white embossing powder. I painted them with my Karin Brushmarkers. I also painted the background with the red watercolor marker. I attached this piece to a white slimline card base.
I used Gold Foil and my Glimmer Machine with the Love Two Ways Hot Foil Plate from the Hugs release. I die-cut it with a banner die and attached it to the left side of the card. I stamped the "have a sweet day" stamp with Walnut Lawn Fawn Ink on a SSS Sentiment Label Die and attached that below it. I used some Chalk Stick Nuvo Drops around the background of the card.
I always aim to do one of these posts a week, but you can see how much work they are by how long they are! But this week with the February Card Kit and another surprise releasing, I will have three "one stamp, five ways" posts to share with you, so come back! I hope you enjoyed this post using the A Glazing Stamp Set from the Hugs release. Keep your eyes out for another release soon that coordinates with this one - more goodies for your wish list coming soon! xoxo suzy
