Today is the Simon Says Stamp HUGS Release. Because this release is so close to the holidays, we won't be having a blog hop until January. But in the meantime, I will be sharing a couple of cards with you using new release products today and tomorrow.
The card I will be sharing with you today is made with the new 6x8" stamp set called A-Glazing Day. It is sold alone or with a set of matching dies as a bundle. Here is an image of the bundle:
And here is my slimline card I made using this set of A-Glazing Day stamps and dies:
I started the same way I start EVERY single slimline card I make. I die-cut a rectangle from white cardstock using the SSS Slimline Nested Rectangle Dies. I always use the largest one for my slimline cards so I can frame them with a cardstock color. I then stamped ALL of the images in the A-Glazing Day Stamp Set with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock.
I colored all of the images in with Copic Markers this time (no colored pencils - shocking I know). I added dots with a white and silver Uniball gel pen. I die-cut them all out with the matching dies. I then arranged them over the white slimline rectangle overlapping them so they all fit. I did multiples of the cupcakes and small hearts.
Next, I embossed a sentiment from the stamp set. I used Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry Embossing Glaze which is a bright pink color. I cut around it and attached it to the bottom center of the card. Last, I added some Nuvo Drops to the background and to some of the donuts to decorate them. I used Red Berry and Party Pink around the background. I used Holly Berry Jewel Drops and Metallic Silver Lining drops over some of the elements on the donuts.
Well, after typing this post, I'm pretty sure I will have to get myself donuts for breakfast tomorrow. I've been watching the Holiday Baking Show every night with my husband. We've watched 3 seasons of it so far. It is not a good idea for anyone trying to eat healthy. We have become dessert junkies! I hope you enjoyed this card using the A-Glazing Day stamp set from the brand new Hugs Release by Simon Says Stamp. Have a wonderful holiday season friends and I will be back tomorrow night to share a card I made using the Wild Love Stamp set. I illustrated the Forever Yours stamp set, so I will be sharing a "one stamp, five ways" post using that one on the SSS blog on December 31st. xoxo suzy
