One of the stamps in the Holiday Sparkle release was called So Many Presents Cling Stamp. I made a card with it and just haven't had a chance to blog it! Here is an image of the stamp:
It has a portion of the image that can be removed which I didn't use. I realized after I made my card that it would have been a really cool technique to stamp this portion that pops out separated so I could have used foam tape beneath it and elevated it on my card. You could also leave this area blank and put a sentiment in that spot.
Here is my card:
I stamped the So Many Presents stamp set with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I then colored in all of the presents with Copic Markers using two colors for each with the darker color on the edges and the lighter color on the inside of each gift. I die-cut this piece with the SSS Basic Rectangle Die (second to largest die in the set).
I attached it to a teal cardstock base. This color is one of my favorites and is by Lawn Fawn and is called Peacock - it is the perfect teal color. I then covered all of my gifts with Nuvo Glitter Drops. I used four colors: Lilac Whisper, Aquatic Mist, Sherbet Shimmer, and Blue Lagoon. I loved the way they looked with the glitter drops, but then I didn't like the way the bows looked with black ink that was covered with the glitter drops! So I went over all of the bows on each gift with a Silver Uniball Gel Pen (love these pens). I then applied a drop of Metallic Silver Lining Nuvo Drops over the center of each bow. The gel pen didn't look that good over the glitter drops, but I tried not to let that bug me!
Last, I added a sentiment using the SSS A2 Thin Frame Dies. I die-cut a small rectangle from both white cardstock for the inside and from the same Peacock Cardstock for the frame. I then embossed a sentiment from the Holiday Greens stamp set with Garden Patina Embossing Powder which matched perfectly! I attached that to the bottom of the card with foam tape beneath it. I then added some Honey Bee Hugs and Kisses Gem Stickers in aqua around the sentiment rectangle.
This looks like a quick simple card right? Ummmm, not so much. I spent a bit of time on it. I would do things a bit differently if I made it again haha. I hope you enjoyed learning from my time consuming process though. Remember to just emboss the stamp with silver embossing powder upfront and all the rest should be much easier! The So Many Presents Cling stamp set is from the Holiday Sparkle Release. Happy Holidays to all! Suzy
