Today is the release of the January 2023 (say what?!!!) card kit called "Snow Love". It is full of snowflake and winter goodness. Here is an image of the full kit:
As usual, I try to focus on the stamp set in the kit which is also called Snow Love stamp set. There is a matching set of dies or you can buy it as a bundle as shown here:
I also used the snowflake die a lot in the kit called Aidan Snowflake which is sold separately. Here are my five cards:
CARD 1:
I die-cut a rectangle from the white glitter cardstock in the kit with the SSS A2 Thin Frame Die and attached it to a blue card base. I then attached the three Tim Holtz Winter Deco Sheets in the kit to white cardstock. I die-cut the Circle Thin Frames die from all three of these and one of the Aidan Snowflake dies from each of them (3 colors). I layered the frames using white in the center and light blue for the thin frame and the darker blue for the outside frame. I attached them to the top center of the card.
I layered the three Aidan Snowflakes which were also cut from the same 3 colors of the TH Winter Deco Sheets over the circle. In the center, I attached one of the Tim Holtz Snowflake Adornments in the kit. I cut the sentiment "sending snow much love" into two pieces and then embossed them with silver embossing powder on strips from the SSS Sentiment Label Dies. I attached those with foam tape behind them to the bottom of the card.
CARD 2:
I die-cut a piece of white cardstock with the largest die in the SSS A2 Thin Frame Dies. I then stamped all of the individual snowflakes from the Snow Love stamp set around this piece with Latte Pawsitively Saturated Ink. I then colored over all of them with colored pencils in pinks, purples, and blues. I attached the colored piece to a bright pink card base.
I die-cut an Aidan Snowflake die from two of the Color Blend Cardstock Assortment in the kit. These papers are so cool as they are super glossy and have two colors on each. I die-cut a small circle from the white glitter paper and attached that to the bottom of the card. Then I layered the two snowflakes over it (I did the circle so the snowflakes wouldn't blend into the busy background). I attached one of the TH Snowflake Adornments in the kit to the center of the snowflakes. I embossed the sentiment with SSS Mermaid Blue embossing powder on a SSS Sentiment Label Die and attached it to the bottom of the card with foam tape behind it.
CARD 3:
I die-cut a slimline rectangle using the SSS Nested Slimline Rectangle Dies from Arches Watercolor Paper. I then embossed the heart and several of the individual snowflake stamps on this piece using white embossing powder. I painted over them with Nuvo Shimmer Powders. I used Atlantis Burst and Blue Blitz for the background and Cherry Bomb and Violet Brocade and Lilac Waterfall for the center.
I embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder on a strip from the SSS Sentiment Label Strips. I attached it to the center of the heart with foam tape behind it. I added some sparkling clear sequins and some small aqua jewels around the background. I also put a TH Snowflake Adornment under the sentiment over the heart, but then it fell off when I took this last photo - sorry!
CARD 4:
I made the background of this card with white cardstock and brushed on the ink that came with the kit, Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Aegean. I then die-cut a bunch of the Aidan Snowflake dies from white cardstock and glued them over it. Next, I rubbed the Glossy Accents in the kit over the background and poured SSS Unicorn Confetti Glitter over it. I tapped a lot of it off and used my finger to rub some of it off.
I embossed the sentiment with Mermaid Blue embossing powder on white cardstock strips. I cut it in two and attached them at an angle. I added the Tim Holtz metal piece to the end of one of the strips. I added some sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment strips and attached Honeybee Back To Basics gems in dark silver to the center of each sequin.
CARD 5:
This card is kind of weird and different as it was my last and I was trying to think of one more way to use the stamps! I used the Color Blend cardstock assortment for this card - I love this stuff! I embossed the snowflake border on the bottom of the piece that is aqua on the top and green on the bottom with white embossing powder. I then cut around it on the bottom edge. I attached it over a piece of white glitter paper. I then die-cut three of the Aidan Snowflake dies from another one of the Color Blend Cardstock Assortment. I attached it over the top of the green/aqua paper.
I die-cut three Aidan snowflakes from the white glitter paper and attached them over the openings (the pink ones are in the background of the photo). I attached them in the center by using a teal gem sticker and then bent all of the edges up. I embossed a sentiment with white embossing powder below the snowflakes. I added some more teal gems around the background.
I really enjoyed working with this kit and make some really colorful and glitzy cards with it. Snowflakes are always so fun to stamp and use on cards! I love this Snow Love card kit and Snow Love stamp bundle and I hope you all like it too! Thanks so much for visiting and have a great holiday season friends! Suzy
