Hello my friends! Today is the first day of a 2 day blog hop celebrating the Simon Says Stamp latest release called Holiday Sparkle. Those two words say it all! This release is FULL of products that will make your holiday cards and tags sparkle! I have a few projects to share with you today. First off, here is a card I shared on THIS BLOG POST yesterday using the new Antique Lantern Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies:
Now for today's blog hop, I have a few creations to share with you that use the new Peace On Earth stamp set and matching dies. Here is an image of the Peace On Earth bundle:
Here is my card and some tags:
I made this card using the Christmas Star Cling Stamp for the background. I embossed it with silver embossing powder and die-cut it with the A2 Thin Frame Die. I mounted it on a teal cardstock card base.
I stamped all of the images in the Peace on Earth stamp set with Intense Black Ink. I then colored them with Copic Markers. I die-cut them out using the matching Peace On Earth dies. I then mounted them over the background using foam tape beneath them. I embossed the sentiment on a SSS Sentiment Label die and silver embossing powder. I attached that over the center of the card.
I had leftover colored images that I didn't use on the card, so I decided to create tags using them. This happens all the time to me as I color all of the images in a stamp set first and don't know which ones I'll be using. So making tags with the extra images works perfectly!
I used the SSS Large Standard Tag Die and Holographic Silver cardstock for the tag base. I adhered one of my colored birds and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on a teal banner using the SSS Sentiment Label Dies. I put a star over the hole in the tag and punched a hole in the center. I used a silver Uniball gel pen to color the star. I tied some teal twine in the tag and added some silver gems.
This tag was made using the SSS Stitched Dress Up Tags die. I used Silver Cardstock for the top part and white cardstock for the tag base. I attached the bird again and another star for the hanging part. I used a sentiment from the new Bold Christmas Acetate sentiments. I tied black twine in the top and added some black gems.
