Simon Says Stamp has revealed another holiday kit today called the Limited Edition Holiday Gift Giving Gift Card Kit. This kit is all about wrapping our gift cards with beautiful handmade creations. Here is an image of the kit:
My "one stamp, five ways" using this kit and focusing on the Holiday Gift Giving 6" x 8" stamp set includes 2 cards and a bunch of gift card envelopes and enclosures. I went a little overboard on this one as I couldn't stop. Although I think this kit is GORGEOUS in all golds and silvers (think elegance), I like a lot of color, so I show you how to make it very colorful and tried to remain elegant!
There are several SSS items in the kit you can purchase separately including the Holiday Gift Giving stamp set, the matching Holiday Gift Giving dies (which I didn't have so I fussy cut all of mine), the Giant Gift Bow Die, and the Baubles 4x4 Stencil set.
Here are all of my creations:
I die-cut a piece of white cardstock with the largest rectangle die in the SSS Mini Slimline Rectangle Dies. I embossed the stars in the Holiday Gift Giving stamp set with the SSS Silver Embossing Powder included in the kit. I stamped the ornaments in the stamp set with PSI in Latte. I colored them with colored pencils and added details with a silver Uniball gel pen. I cut this piece out.
I made a bow with the Giant Gift Bow die. I die-cut it from both the silver glitter and the silver matte cardstock. I then layered them so the glitter paper was on the inside pieces. I used foam tape beneath the bow pieces for depth. I attached that to the top of the card. I then attached the cut out ornaments below the bow. I embossed a sentiment from the stamp set on a label using the SSS Sentiment Label dies that I cut short. I used the silver embossing powder in the kit and Heffy Doodle Bubblegum Blush cardstock. I mounted the card on Heffy Doodle Cornflower cardstock. I added some silver gems from the Honeybee Back to Basic Gem stickers.
I used the piece of paper that has a wreath on it from the kit. The papers are from the Paper Rose Silver Bells 6x6" paper pad. I colored the berries and bow red and the stems green. I used Luminance colored pencils as they are the most opaque and colored the grays in the paper well. I flicked white paint, the Iron Gate Mica Mist in the kit, and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Spray over it with a paintbrush. I die-cut this piece down and attached it to a red cardstock card base from the kit. I embossed a sentiment from the stamp set with silver embossing powder in the center of the wreath. I added some Nuvo Drops in Red Berry Gloss and Metallic Silver Lining around the wreath.
I attached two of the papers from the Paper Rose Silver Bells pieces in the kit to the insides of the card. I then used the SSS Pop Up Gift Card Holder die for the center area. I sprayed some white cardstock with the Iron Gate Mica Spray and flicked the same white paint and Lumberjack Distress Spray over it. I die-cut the pop up die out of this piece and attached it to the center of the card. A gift card fits inside it. I stamped the sentiment with black ink on the bottom of the right side of the card. I attached a piece of the May Arts Silver Glitter Ribbon to the top of the gift card holder so it shows on the outside of the card.
I decorated two of the Schoolhouse red gift card envelopes. I embossed the wreath from the stamp set on the top one using white embossing powder. I then cut out that swirly banner from one of the patterned papers and colored it with a red colored pencil. I colored the inside of the bow and wrote For You on the banner with a white Uniball gel pen. I embossed the white snow from the stamp set with white embossing powder on the bottom envelope. I stamped the wreath with Latte Ink and colored it with colored pencils. I cut around it and attached it to the center of the envelope. I embossed a sentiment from the stamp set with Red Geranium embossing powder.
I made this one with one of the Slate Gray Pouches in the kit. I stamped the wreath with Hero Arts Unicorn Ink on the top and colored it with Luminance colored pencils. I used a white Uniball to color in the bow and put dots on the berries. I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. I added some Holly Berry Jewel Drops on the bottom and Chalk Stick Vintage drops on the top.
I made one of the Giant Gift Bows for the front of one of the Clear Gift Card Envelopes with Red Holographic cardstock. I decorated one of the little white gift cards in the kit for inside the vellum envelope. I cut the banner out of one of the patterned papers and colored it with colored pencils. I stamped the poinsettia with Latte Ink and colored it with colored pencils and cut it out. I attached both to the front of the gift card. I attached a piece of the silver ribbon above them. I used silver gems in the center of the flower and the top of the banner. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set on the banner (had to cut it apart).
I used a Kraft gift bag in my stash for this one. I stamped the poinsettia stamp with Hero Arts Unicorn white ink and colored it with Luminance colored pencils. They work great on colored cardstock because they are so opaque I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set with Intense Black Ink on a small white banner and attached that to the bottom of the envelope. I added some red fluffy stuff I had already to the top and stapled it in place. My old Tim Holtz little stapler came in handy for this one! I wanted the flower to pop more, so I added white details and white centers using a white Uniball gel pen. I ended up outlining it with a black Micron fine tip pen for the same reason!
I had a white envelope in my stash that I used for this one. I believe I got both of these little pouches from last years gift card kit! I attached a piece of the Silver Bells patterned paper to the front of it. I made another Giant Gift Bow using both the Silver Matte Cardstock and the Silver Glitter Cardstock in the kit. I had already made a bow using the other pieces, so this one is just backwards with the leftovers. I attached that to the top of the bag. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set with black ink on a white banner and attached that to the bottom. I stapled a piece of the May Arts Silver Glitter Ribbon to the top center.
My last two gift card holders are made with the vellum envelopes and the white card inserts in the kit. This photo shows how the gift cards look inside the vellum envelopes. I decorated both so they would show through. I would insert a gift card behind these little cards.
I embossed a sentiment from the stamp set with the silver embossing powder on the first vellum envelope and attached a piece of the silver glitter ribbon below it. For the card, I used the Baubles 4x4 stencil set and Pawsitively Saturated Inks (colors in list below). I added details with a white Uniball and used a silver Uniball over the tops of each ornament. I added little dots so the ornaments looked like they were hanging. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set on a banner from the SSS Sentiment Label dies and attached that over the bottom of the card.
I embossed the stars from the stamp set with silver embossing powder on my second vellum envelope. I cut out the banner from the patterned paper and colored it with a blue colored pencil. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set over it with black ink. I just bent it to fit using my Misti to hold it in place. I embossed the ornaments on another one of the white insert cards using the silver embossing powder. I colored them in with Copic markers.
Whew, that was a lot of typing and a lot of creations. I honestly couldn't stop! I had a few more in the works, but didn't want this post to be TOOOOOO long, so I did finally stop! Now I have so many cute little creations to use with gift cards I give this year - so happy to have one thing done haha. I hope you enjoyed this "one stamp, five ways" post using the Limited Edition Holiday Gift Giving Gift Card Kit which will only be available while supplies last. If you buy it soon, you too can have one thing done before you even buy a gift like I do! Thanks so much for visiting! Suzy
