As soon as I saw the Twirling Embossing Folder by SSS in their most recent release, Cozy Hugs, I knew I needed to make a peppermint candy card with it. I love to color and embossing folders are so fun to color with Copics. I will admit this was a little hard to color and I didn't do a great job, but I have decided to accept and be happy with it anyway, so hopefully you will be too. I also used a product from the STAMPtember release that worked perfectly with it for a sentiment called Circle Sayings. Here are images of both products:
Here is my card:
I started by emobossing the Twirling Embossing Folder on white cardstock. I use a Ranger Mini Mister to wet my 110 lb Neenah cardstock first and then I run it through my die-cut machine 3 times to I get the best impression possible. I let it completely dry before I coloring it.
I colored it with Copic Markers. I used 3 colors of red and 2 colors of gray, so it was pretty basic coloring. I did have a touch time staying in the lines, so I used a white Uniball to clean up my messes as best as I could. It is still messier than I like, but I'm a perfectionist! I die-cut this piece with a rounded edge rectangle and attached it to a white card base.
I embossed a sentiment using the Circle Sayings and Circle Die and Carnation Red embossing powder. I die-cut it with the matching circle die and attached it to the bottom of the card with foam tape behind it. I think it goes so well with this card design! I then attached some red sequins to the center of each candy to finish the card.
Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope you enjoyed this Holiday Card made with the Twirling Embossing Folder. It was fun to make and I will definitely send it to someone who loves candy as much as I do! Have a great weekend friends! Suzy
