Simon Says Stamp Cozy Hugs Release: Thanksgiving Place Cards and Turkey Day

I have a card to share with you that was in the banner above announcing the Simon Says Stamp Cozy Hugs Release. See if you can find it! I used two of the new products on this card: the Thanksgiving Place Cards stamp and die and then Turkey Day stamps and die. I didn't use the Thanksgiving Place Cards stamp set the way it was intended. I used it to make a mini-slimline card instead. I die-cut a piece of white cardstock with the SSS Mini Slimline Rectangle Dies. I then stamped the pumpkin with the rectangle stamp in the center (or so I thought). I stamped the leaves and acorn in the stamp set to cover the rest of the card front in my "random stamping" method. I used scratch paper to cover up the pumpkin rectangle so I could put leaves right up to it. I used Intense Black Ink. 

I colored in all of the leaves/acorns/pumpkins with colored pencils. I used a white Uniball to add lines on the pumpkins. After I was done coloring, I realized that my pumpkin rectangle wasn't centered on my card. I have to have everything perfect and lined up and straight, etc... so this really bugged me. I came up with a fix as I had just finished coloring one of the turkeys in the Turkey Day stamp set with colored pencils. I die-cut him out with the matching dies and attached him to the left of the pumpkin rectangle so it wasn't obvious that it wasn't centered. Problem solved - I was happy!

I embossed a sentiment from the Turkey Day stamp set using SSS Antique Gold embossing powder. I lined it up so the bottom of the stamp was on the dotted line. I then used Nuvo Drops in Metallic Copper Penny and Mustard Gold around the sentiment. 

This card certainly screams fall with the colors and all of the leaves. I hope you enjoyed this combination of the Turkey Day stamp set and the Thanksgiving Place Cards stamp set used together to create a mini-slimline card.
