Today's SSS STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is with Waffle Flower. It is a 6" x 8" stamp set called Winter Crystals and is full of snowflake beauty. It is sold alone or with a set of matching dies. Here is an image of the bundle:
And here is my card:
I started this card by painting a piece of Ranger Watercolor Paper with Nuvo Shimmer Powders. I used a mix of 3 colors: Green Parade, Falling Leaves, and Atlantis Burst. I applied them in a very thick coat. I die-cut this piece with the largest rectangle in the SSS A2 Thin Frame Rectangle Dies.
I pulled out my Waffle Flower Winter Crystals stamp set and I embossed all of the snowflakes in it ontop of the Shimmer Powder. I used Ranger Snowflake Tinsel Embossing Powder which is white with some silver glitter in it. I arranged them in a "random stamping" method (like a puzzle), letting them hang over the edges. I then applied Crystal Ranger Stickles over all the snowflakes as I wanted them to be more glittery. When they dried over night, many areas of the snowflakes had turned green! I wasn't sure why - I guess they picked up the color of the Shimmer Powder from underneath the embossing powder.
I applied spots of white acrylic paint around the snowflakes with the end of a paintbrush. I die-cut a banner using white cardstock and the SSS Sentiment Label dies (widest one). I embossed a sentiment from the stamp set with Garden Patina embossing powder. I attached it to the bottom of the card with foam tape beneath it. I applies two colors of Liquid Pearls around the sentiment in Mermaid and Bahama Bay.
If you like snowflakes, this Winter Crystals stamp set by Waffle Flower would be the perfect addition to your collection . I highly advise buying the bundle on this one as I think having the dies would help me get a lot more use out of this stamp set AND I love when there are dies for the greetings too.I hope you enjoyed this SSS STAMPtember collaboration stamp set post.
