The collaboration stamp company of the day is Paper Rose Studios. I know this company because i buy almost every one of their 6x6 paper pads. They have the most whimsical fun designs and I love to share them with my grand-daughter. They also make gorgeous stamp sets though! The set is a 4"x6" set called All the Thanks and can be purchased alone or with a set of matching dies as a bundle. Here is an image of the bundle:
And here is my card:
I started with a piece of 4.25x5.5" white cardstock. Then I got really lucky! I wanted to create a pattern with the floral branch and the "thanks" greeting, but I didn't measure to make sure it was going to fit. I just started stamping. I used Intense Black Ink. I stamped the floral grouping twice, switching the direction it went. Then I stamped the thanks outline stamp and then there was JUST ENOUGH ROOM for one more branch switched to the opposite direction again. Then I cut this piece down slightly with the largest rectangle in the SSS A2 Thin Frame Dies.
I colored all of it in with colored pencils. When images are small like the leaves and flowers on these branches, I find pencils to be the quickest and easiest to show shading with. I also used pencils on my letters. I could have used the flat stamp included in the set, but I wanted the letters to match the flowers. I used a Luminance pencil on the bottom of the letters and when I put Nuvo drops over it, it changed teh color and now it stands out and doesn't match. But after the pattern fit so perfectly, I was not starting over!
I cut the "so" off one greeting and stamped "so many" on top of thanks. I did it this way because it fit perfectly. But I'm not really sure that is grammatically correct. In fact, it doesn't sound right. Ooopsies. I then went crazy with Nuvo Drops. I used Honeysuckle Jewel Drops over the letters and that's when the bottom color turned into a bright pink. I used Pink Champagne Glitter Drops over the flowers (not sure why I spent time shading them!). I used Pink Orchid Drops around the sentiment (that is one of my favorite colors of Nuvo drops BTW). Simple one layer card. Simple if you like to color. But if you don't, with Copics, these branches would have taken no time at all to color and the thanks could have been done quickly with the flat stamp. I attached my card front to a card base made with Heffy Doodle Wildberry Cardstock. I mention this as I am always on the hunt for just the right color of pinks to match my coloring. And this color has come in handy many times lately!
This Paper Rose stamp set is so simple and so pretty. I find thank you cards are my most used subject next to birthdays, so I love having this big thanks in the set. It's called All the Thanks and is sold alone or with a set of matching dies until supplies run out. You can see all of the collaboration stamp sets for the month at this link and all of the SSS STAMPtember products released at this link. Thanks so much for sticking with me all month - just a few more days to go. suzy
