We are nearing the end of STAMPtember which makes me sad! I've gotten used to doing daily blog posts and maybe I'll have to keep it up haha. There is one more collab after today and that is it! Today's is with Newton's Nook and is a 4x6" stamp set called Warm and Cozy Wishes. It is sold alone or with a set of matching dies. Here is an image of the bundle:
Here is my card:
I really like this card and how it came together to look like a little room. I wanted the sentiment to look like a picture on the wall over the sentiment. I wanted the background to look like floor and wallpaper. This meant I had to go through my paper collection to find the papers I thought would look good. When making these type of decisions, I end up spending more time picking papers than I do on the rest of the card. I can't decide and I had a lot of wallpaper choices. Unfortunately both of these papers were in my stash and I have no idea where I got them so I can't even link them. But they are old, so pick any papers that look like wallpaper and floor if you want to make a card like this! I die-cut the papers with the SSS A2 Thin Frame Die and then attached them to the front of a dark green card base.
I stamped all of teh images in the Warm and Cozy Wishes stamp set with Intense Black Ink. I stamped two of the pillows knowing I would want extras for the floor! I colored them all in with Copic markers. I do enjoy using Copics sometimes and they work best on larger images like these for shading. I think the couch turned out really good. My son has a couch this color, so it's not too out there! I used a white Uniball gel pen on the cushions and as the buttons.
I wanted a die that would be the right size for this sentiment in the stamp set and provide me with a frame. I found my Mama Elephant B2B Rectangles and I hadn't cut the smaller ones apart yet. So I die-cut two of them together so the larger one provided a frame to the inside one. I die-cut it out of white and green and then used the green for the frame. I embossed the sentiment with Ranger Rustic Wilderness Embossing Glaze. I attached it to the top of the card with foam tape behind it. I then attached the couch and all of the other stamped images with foam tape behind the tops of some. I like gluing the bottoms down and then use tape behind just the tops of items to make them look dimensional.
I love this cute Warm and Cozy Wishes stamp set by Newton's Nook. The little cat and dog are so cute! You can buy just the stamp set here or the stamp and die as a bundle here. You can see all of the STAMPtember collaboration sets here and all of the STAMPtember SSS products released here. Thanks so much for visiting and I will see you again tomorrow for the last collab!
