Today's SSS collaboration stamp set is with Kitchen Sink called Butterfly Kisses. They always make the coolest flat layering stamps that I really enjoy using since I usually color everything. This 6" x 8" set is full of butterflies that use 3 colors each, so the Pawsitively Saturated Inks work perfectly with it. It also has a lot of really good sentiments to choose from. You can buy just the Butterfly Kisses stamp set or you can purchase the stamp and die bundle. Here is an image of the bundle:
And here is my card - another A2 sized one as promised! And be ready, this is a VIVID, BRIGHT, COLORFUL card!!!
When I saw the 3 butterflies with 3 stamps for each to layer the shadows in the Butterfly Kisses stamp set, I knew I wanted to use my Pawsitively Saturated Inks. I picked out 3 color families to use: Trio 6 (Bubblegum, Sweets, and Taffy), Trio 7 (Marine, Cadette, and Royal ), and Trio 16 (Lilac, Orchid, and Amethyst). I die-cut a piece of white cardstock with a rounded corner rectangle.
There are directions for how to use this stamp set in it and they are also labeled on the stamps. In other words, it is well explained and very easy to do. I didn't have any problems with lining them up as I usually do. I used the lightest color for the flat stamp, the middle color for the middle shading stamp, and the darkest color in the Trio for the final shading. I arranged them randomly over the rectangle keeping them all facing one direction, but lining them up by slightly turning them.
I attached this piece to a dark blue card base. I then added two sentiments from the stamp set using Amethyst and Royal inks on a banner die. I then used Dazzling Blue Glitter Drops over the blue letters and added Nuvo Drops in Windsor Wine and Midnight Blue between the butterflies.
This Butterfly Kisses stamp set by Kitchen Sink is so pretty and I think it would be really fun to use if purchased with the matching dies. I love ink layering and should really do it more often!
