Today's STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is with Reverse Confetti, a 6" x 8" stamp set called "Fa La La Trees". It is sold alone or with a set of matching dies as a bundle. As you know, these sets sell out quickly! Of all of the collaboration stamp sets that have been released this month, only 2.5 are still available for purchase! Here is an image of the Reverse Confetti stamp and die bundle:
And here is my SLIMLINE card!
Because this stamp set has flat stamps in it, I wanted to use embossing powders to take it up a notch. I pulled out lots of my holiday ones to use and ended up going a completely different direction. I don't know how my reds, golds, and silvers became teals and purples! I had a few mess ups with powders that didn't adhere well enough, so I kept trying different ones. These worked well, so I went with this revised color scheme! I started with a rectangle die-cut from white cardstock using the SSS Nested Slimline Rectangle Dies.
I used Nuvo Silver Embossing Powder for the stars on the trees and cut them out since I didn't have the dies. I embossed the trees with Brutus Monroe Wisteria Lane embossing powder (solid purple), WOW Emerald City (so cool jade color with glitter) and WOW Royal Crush (purple with blue glitter). I cut them out and attached them to the front of the card with two on each side overlapping. I glued the stars to the tops of the trees.
I embossed the large sentiment with the same Nuvo Silver Embossing Powder. I embossed the smaller sentiment (cut apart) with the Brutus Monroe Wisteria Lane embossing powder. I attached the white cardstock to purple and then to a turquoise cardstock card front made with the Pink Fresh Slim Diagonal dies. I added Nuvo Drops to the trees and around the sentiment in Metallic Silver, Crushed Grapes, and Duck Egg Blue.
This stamp set was a little out of my comfort zone as I like to color and get intimidated by flat stamps. I'm never sure how to make them amazing as it seems so basic to just stamp them with inks. Using embossing powder felt like a step up and was fun once I got it to stick properly! I love dressing all my cards up with Nuvo drops and they really added a lot to the trees. I hope you enjoyed this Fa La La Trees stamp set by Reverse Confetti that can be purchased alone or with a set of matching dies. you can see all the STAMPtember collaboration stamp sets here and all of the SSS STAMPtember product release here. Have a great week friends! One more week of STAMPtember to go! Suzy
