Are you ready for Christmas? I know we all say this every year, but I really can't believe we are coming close to that time of year! Ugh so not ready! Anyway, back to business!! Today's STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is by Avery Elle and is a 4x6" set called Reindeer Wishes. It is sold alone or sold with a set of matching dies as shown here:
I love this set as it is simple, yet so detailed. I made a clean card for once and tried hard not to overdo it! No Nuvo Drops (well maybe a little)! Here is my one layer A2 sized card:
I die-cut a piece of white cardstock with a stitched rectangle. I stamped the reindeer stamp in the Reindeer Wishes stamp set in the center of this piece with Intense Black Ink. I then stamped the individual ornament stamps around it to fill in the open space. I stamped a sentiment on the bottom right. This is a one layer card, so after I stamped everything, I just had to color it and call it done!
I colored the image with Copic markers this time. I like Copics better for a large animal like this. I used a lighter tan to remove some of the color in the center of his face. Not sure I like how it looks now that it is photographed! I used 2 shades of each color for the ornaments sticking to red, green, and blue. I used a silver Uniball gel pen on the bells on the collar and the top of each ornament. I used a white Uniball gel pen for the dots on the reindeers head. I used a gray colored pencil to add shading behind the letters and a brown colored pencil over the antlers.
I attached this piece to a red card base. I used a white Uniball gel pen to add a line to each ornament. I then used Glossy Accents over all of the ornaments so they are really shiny and puffy which looks great in real life! I used Holly Berries Jewel Drops over the reindeers nose.
That's it - a very simple card using the new Reindeer Wishes stamp set by Avery Elle. I didn't have the dies and since my card was one layer, I didn't need them, but if you want the dies too you can see the bundle here. Thanks so much for visiting today and happy almost over STAMPtember!!! Suzy
