I have another one of my watercolor cards to share with you today. Like I said on my post, two days ago, they make it oh so easy to create a card that I tend to go back to them over and over. You can see all of my sets that are still available at Simon Says Stamp HERE. Today's card uses one from the Roses Are Red Watercolor Card set. Here is an image:
You can see all six of the cards in this set colored on my blog post HERE and HERE from when they were released. And here is my new card:
All of Suzy's Watercolor Cards are printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper. I love this paper because it is pure white and it works well with ALL coloring mediums. For some reason, I didn't use watercolors on this one at all. I guess because I colored it when I was traveling! I die-cut it with a rectangle die cut and then colored it in with colored pencils.
I used a combination of pencils including Faber Castelle Polychromos, Prismacolor, and Caran d'ache Luminance and Pablo. I used white Luminance pencils on the petals to lighten them. I used a white Uniball gel pen on the edges of all the petals.
I die-cut two sentiments for the card using Simon Says Stamp preprinted sentiment strips. The "I love you" comes from the Reverse Slimline Love sentiment strips and the "happy anniversary, my love" from the Slimline Love sentiment strips. I attached them both to the bottom of the card. I meant to add some sparkling clear sequins, but I totally forgot! Oooops!!!
Such an easy card. Suzy's Watercolor Cards make it really simple as all you have to do is color and add a sentiment (although some come with sentiments on them). This Roses Are Red set are perfect for love cards like anniversaries and Valentine's Day which is just around the corner! Thanks so much for visiting today! Suzy
