Today is the STAMPtember release at Simon Says Stamp which is the beginning of the most exciting month in the card making industry! Two of my favorite products in this release are the Black Eyed Peas stamp set and the Butterfly Ranunculus stamp set. This blog post uses the Butterfly Ranunculus stamp and a post HERE uses the Black Eyed Peas stamp set. Here is an image of the Butterfly Ranunculus stamp and die bundle:
Here is my one layer slimline card:
A one layer slimline card is about as simple in directions as you can get! I started with a rectangle die-cut with the SSS Nested Slimline Rectangle Dies from white cardstock. I then stamped several of the floral images from the Butterfly Ranunculus stamp set with Latte Ink.
I colored all of the images in with colored pencils. I used a combination of Prismacolor, Luminance and Pablo by Caran d'ache, and Polychromos by Faber Castelle. I outlined the flowers with a darker color and then used white Luminance pencils around the edges to keep them really light.
I mounted this on pink cardstock and attached it to a white card base. I then stamped a sentiment from the stamp set with black ink. I added three sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment. One layer cards are so simple and this one is really just all about the coloring. Which I thoroughly enjoyed!
The STAMPtember release has so many great products in it that I wouldn't know where to start in telling you my favorites. This Butterfly Ranunculus stamp set is definitely a favorite! You can see a card using the Black Eyed Susans stamp set which I also love on my blog post HERE. The entire STAMPtember gallery is HERE with all the creations from all designers, so check it out! Thanks so much for visiting! Suzy
