I made this card today with the CZ Beachy Keen stamp set and matching dies from the Simon Says Stamp Let's Chill release. I've already used it a few times on other cards for the greetings which are large and have matching dies so I love them! But this time I wanted to use the cute images in the stamp. Here is a picture of the stamp and die bundle:
They are currently on backorder, but should be back in stock soon. I guess a lot of other people liked them too! Here is my card:
I used my "random-stamping" technique for this card. I know I use it a lot, but I never tire of seeing stamped images all arranged together like a piece of patterned paper. I first stamped the umbrella along the top of a piece of A2 sized cardstock and stamped it with Latte Ink (my new fav for no-line stamping). I placed the outline images of the popsicle, hat, and flip-flops around the card turning them this way and that way so they fit around each other.
I then colored all of the images in with colored pencils. I decided to outline them with black since I used black on the umbrella, so I used a .05 Micron really fine tired black marker. I double outline so it can look messy on purpose when I make mistakes haha. I then die-cut this piece with the SSS A2 Thin Frame Dies.
I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set on white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I then embossed over it with clear embossing powder. I stamped a smaller second sentiment with black ink on a SSS Sentiment Label die and attached both to the bottom of the card. I added Nuvo Drops in Black Board Vintage and Caribbean Sea around the sentiment.
This stamp set has so much potential. If I had more time I would have done a 5 card post with it. I want to try out the solid stamps inside the outline stamps next time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this post using the Beachy Keen stamp set from the Let's Chill release. Suzy
