Today I have a second card using one of the newest floral stamp sets by Gina K. Designs. I used the Spring Bouquet stamp set on this post a few days ago. For the card I'm sharing today, I used the Succulent Spray stamp set that also has a set of matching dies. I am very drawn to her stamps because I love florals and I also love the fonts she uses in her sentiment stamps. Here is an image of the Succulent Spray stamp set:
Not only do I love the sentiment font used, I also love how MANY different sentiment possibilities there are! I couldn't pick for my slimline card so I ended up using two of them on this card!
I started by die-cutting a rectangle with the SSS Nested Slimline Rectangle Dies from white cardstock. I then stamped the floral design in the Gina K. Designs Succulent spray stamp set with SSS Latte Pawsitively Saturated Ink. I usually use MFT Natural Ink, but since this Latte color was released by SSS, I've been using it as it is almost the same color. I haven't tried it with watercolors yet, but it works good with pencils. I colored this design in with just colored pencils. I used the Luminance white pencils for the edges of the petals and to blend the colors together inside the flowers.
There were so many sentiments in the stamp set that I had a hard time deciding which ones to use! I had room on both the top and the bottom of the card, so I decided to use two to balance it. I stamped both with SSS Intense Black Ink. I just got a new ink pad and I love how black and crisp it stamps!
I added some Pink Orchid Nuvo Drops around the flowers. I attached the card front to a piece of Heffy Doodle Wildberry cardstock which matched perfectly (new one I just picked up and I like this color a lot!). I added some sparkling clear sequins around the sentiments on the top and the bottom.
This was a very easy one layer card to make. The main part that took time was coloring, but I love to color while watching tv with my husband at night, so I don't mind spending time on one image that is this gorgeous. I love this Succulent Spray stamp set by Gina K. Designs as the center images could be used as either florals as I did or as succulents as I think they were meant to be used as! Next time! haha Thanks for visiting! Suzy
