When I decide to purchase a stamp set, it usually has to be a beautiful floral that I think I will get a lot of use out of and love to color. When I saw this set by Gina K. Designs called Spring Bouquet, I knew it was one I needed to own. Here is an image of it:
I love posies, and it looks like posies to me! I colored them as posies anyway. But I love ALL flowers, so I'm not to picky haha. Here is my card:
This is a pretty straightforward one layer card! I started by stamping the image on white cardstock with MFT Natural ink. I then colored it in with colored pencils (an assortment of Polychromos by Faber Castelle, Luminance and Pablo by Caran d'Ache, and Prismacolor).
I usually leave the edges of flowers white by not coloring them with the color and then using the Luminance white colored pencils along the edges. They blend the colored area into the white area. I used a fine tip black pen on the inside of the flowers so the blacks were darker. I cut this piece down and attached it to a matching card base.
When I stamped the images on the white cardstock, I purposely left an area for the biggest sentiment in the set. I stamped it with Intense Black ink on the top right corner. I used some Pink Orchid Nuvo Drops around the flowers. Like I said, a very simple one layer card!
I look forward to trying these Spring Bouquet stamp set blooms with Copics and watercolors as well. The larger image would look great on a slimline card. I'll enjoy using it multiple times, I'm sure! Thanks so much for visiting today and Happy Fourth of July to all! Xoxo suzy
