One of the stamp sets released in the latest SSS Let's Chill release is called Flowers For You. I made a card with it immediately because I love flowers and it's a beautiful floral set. My favorite thing to color is flowers with colored pencils. And this card has a lot of coloring on it! The Flowers For You stamp set is also sold with a set of matching dies or as a bundle as shown in this picture:
And here is my card:
I started by stamping ALL of the images in the stamp set with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I colored them all in with colored pencils. I use a mix of Prismacolor, Luminance by Caran d'Ache, and Faber Castelle Polychromos. SSS just started carrying a 3 set of white Luminance pencils and I use them to soften the colors on the outside of the petals. For the pot I left pencil strokes on purple by using a darker blue over it.
I used Kaiser Craft glitter pens for details (no longer carried by SSS). I used the bright pink in this set for the dots on the Lily's and the orange for the top of the flower centers. I used a white Uniball gel pen on the pot. I die-cut all of the pieces and arranged ALL of them on one mini slimline card! I die-cut a white rectangle using the SSS Mini Slimline Rectangle die. I then attached the colored images over the front of this piece. I layered them so I was able to fit all of them. I used foam tape beneath the pieces I wanted to look like they were in the front of the others.
I stamped the tag stamp with Intense Black Ink and die-cut it out. I stamped a sentiment from the set on the tag. I tied a piece of twine through the hole in the tag and attached that to the top of the card hanging over the edge. I left the twine long for the photo, but I'll trim it if I send it out. I used a blue card base to match the pot. I really wasn't sure about the blue, but I wanted to introduce one more color. Maybe yellow would have been better? I added some sparkling clear sequins over the pot and one clear blue one.
I love this Flowers For You stamp set and matching set of dies from the Let's Chill release. I hope you enjoyed this card. Thanks so much for visiting! Suzy
