Tonight I have a card to share that I made with a couple of the new products from the Simon Says Stamp Let's Chill release. I used the new Sunflower Fields Embossing Folder and Die combo (although I didn't use the die) as well as the new Sketched Daisy Hot Foil Plate. Here is an image of both products:
Here is my card:
I started by embossing the Sunflower Fields embossing folder. I used Neenah 110 lb. white cardstock and lightly misted it with a Ranger Mini Mister and ran it through my die-cut machine 3 times. That's my method for getting the best image possible. I then colored it with Copic markers. I cut it to be a little smaller than an A2 card base and attached it to a white card front.
I really hated to cover any of it up since I spent time coloring the entire thing! haha I then used the new Sketched Daisy Bloom Hot Foil Plate. I have a new Glimmer Machine and I'm really enjoying it! I used Pewter foil with it and die-cut it out after hot foiling it. I made three of these images and one of them looked a little fuzzy as I think it moved slightly when I ran it through the die-cut machine. I accidentally used the fuzzy one on this card (I knew I should have thrown it away!). The other two looked perfect and sharp! I attached it to the bottom of the card with foam tape behind it.
I die-cut a sentiment from the new Reverse Chill Summer labels using the Honey Bee Label Dies. I attached that to the bottom of the card. I used some sparkling clear sequins around it.
I really enjoyed coloring this Sunflower Fields embossing folder with Copics. It's easy to do with the raised edges and imperfections in coloring actually look good. The card was super easy to make once I was done coloring! Thanks so much for visiting today! Suzy
