Today's card features several products from the Yay You release, primarily Hot Foiling products as I am on a roll lately! I used the Sketched Anemone Hot Foil Plate, the Intricate Floral Hot Foil Plate, the Dancing Butterfly Hot Foil Plate, and the Sketched Leafy Wreath Floral Plate all from the Yay You release. I then used the Sketched Leaf Hot Foil Plate from the Hello Gorgeous Release. Here is an image of the focal point of the card, the Sketched Anemone:
And here is my card:
I started by running the Intricate Floral Background Hot Foil Plate with white cardstock through my die-cut machine. This is a great way to get more use out of your hot foil plates by using them for embossing. It's subtle and hard to capture in a photo, but looks really nice in real life. I recommend running it through twice to get a better image. I die-cut that with the largest rectangle in the SSS A2 Thin Rectangle Frame dies and mounted it on a turquoise card base.
I next used my Glimmer Machine with the Sketched Anemone Hot Foil Plate using Viridian Hot Foil. All of these foil plates have matching dies! I die-cut them out and then colored them in with Copics. I used one of the Dancing Butterflies in the Hot Foil Plate with Rainbow Foil for the butterfly and also colored it in with Copics. I then pulled out my favorite Hot Foil Plate EVER (needed by anyone using foil!) by Pink Fresh called the Solid Hot Foil Plate. Every time you foil something, you can use the left over foil with the negative space on it to create another image. I did this with the Leafy Wreath Foil Plate using Teal Glimmer Foil and with the Sketched Leaf hot foil plate using Viridian Hot Foil I cut around some of the leaves in both pieces and tucked them around the flower on the front of the card. Last I used the negative space and the same Pink Fresh Solid Hot Foil Plate from the Intricate Floral Background plate with Rainbow Foil and cut a few of those leaves out that matched my card. I added all of those around the flower.
I attached the butterfly to the top right side of the card and used Nuvo Glitter Drops over it. I die-cut a SSS Preprinted Sentiment Strip and attached that to the bottom of the card. I added some sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment.
I am really getting some use out of my new Glimmer Machine and I'm so glad I decided to invest in it! I had a lot of fun doing all this foiling at one time and I've made several cards from that one session. I hope you enjoyed this card using all of these new products! Thanks for visiting! Suzy
