This card includes quite a few SSS products as shown in the title! I'm on a new roll making domed cards with the Nested Dome Dies. They have such a unique card shape and they fit in a standard A2 card envelope! I also am in love with the Intricate Floral Hot Foil Plate from the Yay You release. I actually did a "one stamp, five ways" post with it HERE and now I'm using it once again! And last, I used the Etched Butterfly die to finish off this card. Here is my card:
Before I cut the Nested Dome dies apart, I die cut them together to create frames. I wish I had die-cut a few of these because lining them up perfectly is hard! I cut them apart and then die-cut one of the large ones for the back of the card. I then used my Glimmer Machine with the Intricate Floral hot Foil Plate and Moondust Glimmer Foil to create the background. I also die-cut that with the Nested Dome die.
I colored the background created with the Intricate Floral Hot Foil Plate with Copics in light blues. I tried to keep it fairly light and didn't too much shading. I attached the white frame over it. I then cut a piece of white cardstock to be 2" wide and the height of the side of the dome. I folded it in half and attached it to the left side of the white dome piece I had cut out. I then attached the floral dome piece with the white frame to the top of this piece to create a card. The small white piece of cardstock held the two comes together.
I die-cut the Etched Butterfly die out of white cardstock and also colored it with Copic Markers. I then glued it to the top of the card only using adhesive under the center so I could fold the wings up. I added Lilac Whisper Nuvo Glitter Drops over the purple areas of the butterfly. I used a SSS Preprinted Sentiment Strip on the bottom of the card. I added some sparkling clear sequins and Lilac Whisper Nuvo drops and some Chalk Stick Nuvo Drops around the sentiment.
