The Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit called Happiest Wishes is now available! As usual, I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using the kit. I've focused primarily on the stamp set also called Happiest Wishes which is sold alone or with a set of matching dies as a bundle. Here is an image of the full kit:
Some of the items in the kit can be purchased separately including the Slimline Sunburst stencil, the paper pad called Sunny Days by Paper Rose, the Big Hugs wafer dies, the Pawsitively Everything T-Square Ruler (I love this thing!), and the Ranger Stickles Starshine Glitter Gel. Here are my five cards:
CARD 1:
I used the Paper Rose Sunny Days paper for the background of this card. First, I die-cut the paper with the tree and swing with a stitched rectangle. I attached it to an orange card base. I then cut the leaves and branches as well as the butterflies from two of the other papers. I glued the branches over the top of the tree and the little leaves below the swing.
I stamped the kitty with the balloon from the Happiest Wishes stamp set with Intense Black ink on white cardstock. I colored it in with Copic markers. I also stamped the other two balloons and cut them off the animals holding them. I attached the kitty to the swing and the other two balloons coming out from behind the kitty. I used foam tape underneath the balloons. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set on the bottom of the card with Intense Black Ink. I glued the three butterflies from the papers around the swing. I used some Vintage Nuvo Drops in Pioneer Green around the tree and on the stems of the leaves.
CARD 2:
I love this paper from the Paper Rose Sunny Days pad so much. I had already purchased this pad which includes 3 sheets of each paper. I wanted to use this paper on a card, so I loved that the kit included it! I die-cut it with the B2B Mama Elephant Rectangle dies and attached it to a coral card base.
I stamped the two animals with balloons and three clouds with MFT Natural Ink and colored them with colored pencils. I stamped two sentiments to the balloons (actually it was one that I cut in half) with black ink. I attached the balloons over the clouds with foam tape underneath them. I stamped the sentiment banner with black ink and also colored it to match the card base. I added some sparkling clear sequins around the card.
CARD 3:
I used Pixie Spray on the back of the Slimline Sunburst Stencil and attached it to a piece of white cardstock. I then used a black fine tip Micron Pen to draw black lines inside all of the openings in the stencil. I rubbed the Stickles Glitter Paste over it and let it dry. I die-cut it with a SSS Slimline Nested Rectangle Die. I die-cut a background with the Pink Fresh Slimline Rectangle die and attached it to that. I wanted to build up the yellow glitter gel, so I used Nuvo Drops in Yellow Bird over all of the yellow areas. This just gave it more dimension. I could have done two coats of the Glitter Gel over the stencil instead, but I had already removed it.
I stamped the sentiment and several of the clouds from the Happiest Wishes stamp set with black ink on white cardstock and cut them out as I didn't have the matching dies. I stamped some of the little sentiments on the clouds with black ink. I attached all of them over the background with foam tape behind them. I used some of the large yellow and clear star sequins from the SSS Galaxy Sequin Mix around the card. I also used some Yellow Brick Road Vintage Nuvo Drops.
CARD 4:
I painted a background with Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Meteorite Shower. I flicked some white acrylic paint and some gold paint over it. I die-cut it with the B2B Mama Elephant Rectangle die and attached it to a white card base. I embossed the sentiment from the stamp set on a SSS Stitched Rectangle die using Steel Navy embossing powder.
I stamped the moon, bear/balloon and the other two balloons with black ink and colored them in with Copics. I attached them to the background. I then embossed the 3 stars around the background with white embossing powder. I used Chalk Stick Nuvo Drops on the inside of them (don't like how this turned out - should have left them alone!). I used some Night Sky Glitter Drops around the background.
CARD 5:
I die-cut a rectangle using the SSS Slimline Nested Rectangle dies from white cardstock. I then used the SSS Clouds for Days stencil for teh sky. I applied Distress Oxide Ink in Stormy Sky with Mini Ink Domed Blending Foam as I find they give me a lighter touch than brushes do. I die-cut the "big hugs" die three times from white cardstock. I colored one with a blue Copic and glued them together.
I stamped the clouds and animals with balloons with black ink and colored them in with Copics. I attached them to the background. I drew red hearts on the clouds and used a white uniball to add lines to them. I glued the big hugs to the top and bottom of the card. I used some Double Denim and Chalk Stick Nuvo Drops around the sky. I used Double Denim, Red Berry Gloss, and Yellow Brick Road on the balloons.
I think this Happiest Wishes June Card Kit is so cute! I love the Happiest Wishes stamp set - especially all the sentiments that are included in it. I hope you enjoyed this "one stamp, five ways" post and thanks for visiting today! Suzy
