Happy Easter Eve Friends! I wanted to post an Easter card for this momentous occasion. So I pulled out one of my Easter watercolor cards from 2020 to color. This set was called Suzy's Spring and Easter watercolor cards. Here is an image:
I actually posted all 12 of these colored WAY BACK on a blog post HERE. And then I colored one of them AGAIN to share with you now:
This was my favorite of the 12 in that set, so it seemed like a good one to make into a card! As you know, Suzy's Watercolor Cards are printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper. I love this paper because it is pure white and very thick. And as you for sure know if you have ever purchased these cards before, all you have to do is color and paste! So let's get to it.
I painted it first with Daniel Smith watercolors. But then I did my usual, I went back in and added shading and details with colored pencils. I liked the texture pencils gave the basket and the bunny's fur. And the great thing is back in 2020, I was still putting greetings right on them, so this really was color and paste! I attached it to a yellow card base. But then...
I had to add Glitter Nuvo Drops because that is what I do! I added several colors to the details on the card and the tulips. I love a little glitter and sheen! I also used some Iceberg Blue ones around the background of the card.
That's it! These cards really are EASY PEASY! I stopped drawing them a few months ago as it had been 5 years and over 450 sets. So if you like them, check out this link with all the sets they have at SSS and get yourself to the "color and paste" stage. (((cut and paste, get it?!?!?!). Thanks for visiting and Happy Easter friends! Suzy
