I am back to coloring daffodils. I can't seem to stop! I don't know if you saw my guest post on the SSS blog, but I did a "one stamp, five ways" post using the Spring Stems stamp set which is also daffodils. Here is an image of the 5 cards and please visit the blog post here to get all the details and see individual pictures.
Today I'm using the Daffodil Fields cling stamp from the Good Luck Charm release to make a card. I also used this stamp for a blog post HERE if you want to see another take with a black background. Here is an image of the stamp:
And here is my new card:
I didn't use a lot of supplies for this card for once - it is very basic! I stamped the Daffodil Fields cling stamp on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I ended up using a .05 Micron fine tip black marker after I colored the images to outline them. I'm not big on black outlines and if I have them, I like them to be very fine. So I prefer to draw them myself after I color if I think the image needs a black outline. In this case, I colored all of the flowers with colored pencils and then decided to add them.
After I colored in all the flowers and leaves, I decided I thought the background didn't look very good white. So I colored it with two colors of green pencil to make it look like more faded leaves in the background. Next, I die-cut this piece with the Lawn Fawn Just Stitching rectangle die for a nice looking border.
I embossed a sentiment from the XL Greetings 3 stamp set and die-cut it out with the matching set of dies. I love this font and thought it looked cute on the daffodils. I used Ranger Leaf Green embossing powder which is my go to green color every time. I added some PPP sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment.
And that my friends should be the end of my daffodil phase! I think I will move on to something else now. Not that I'm tired of daffodils yet though as I have some bulbs in the backyard that are just starting to poke out. So bring them on! Thanks for visiting today and have a great weekend! Prayers for Ukraine!!! Suzy
