I ordered a few new goodies last week and received a gorgeous new floral stamp set by Gina K. Designs called Rarest Rose. I think it was part of her latest release. Here is an image:
I'm always a succor for floral designs like these as I love to color them with colored pencils. I have a slimline card using them to share with you.
I die-cut a piece of Neenah 110 lb. white cardstock with the SSS Nested Slimline Rectangle die. I then stamped the larger floral design along the top side of the card with Intense Black Ink. I stamped the single rose and leaves and small flower on the bottom of the card. I tore a small piece of paper to use to mask the rose, but I didn't need much masking the way I laid it out.
I colored the designs in with a mix of colored pencils. It took a while. Pencils definitely can take time when you want the design perfect. I used a Caran d Ache blending pencil to blend my colors. No Gamsol for me! I also use a white Prismacolor pencil along edges to blend and lighten as that pencil is so waxy it really blends well. I used a white Unibal gel pen along the flower edges.
I stamped the sentiment with more Intense Black Ink and attached it to a Raspberry Red cardstock base (just discovered this color by Lawn Fawn and I love it as it is kind of a cherry red). I added some sparkling clear sequins and it was done!
I hope you like this Rarest Rose stamp set as much as I do. It was really fun to spend some time coloring it in front of the Bachelor finale! haha Thanks for visiting today!!! Suzy
