And I couldn't be happier. Coral vibes. Pinkish orange vibes. Perfection VIBES. I love this color! I was lucky enough to receive the Saltwater Taffy Bundle from Simon Says Stamp, so I got to play with it as soon as it was released. I made a card to share with you so you can get a feel of what the color looks like. My entire card is made with the Saltwater Taffy color! Here is a look at the bundle at SSS:
And here are my photos and my card:
This photo shows all of the products in the Salt Water Taffy Bundle as well as a background I made for my card. Details of how I made that on the next photo.
I first embossed the SSS Wavy Circles cling stamp from the recent Good Luck Charm release with the new Saltwater Taffy Embossing Glaze on a piece or Ranger watercolor paper. Next, I used SSS brushes to apply some of the Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink around the embossed half circles. Then I took out the Saltwater Taffy Distress Ink refill and I stuck a paint brush in the top of it and splattered it over the background. I wanted bigger spots so I shook the actual re-inker application tool (syringe?) over the piece and ended up with some spots that were TOOOOO big. They didn't look huge like this until they dried and by then it was too late to fix them, so I just left it!
I die-cut this piece and attached it to a white card base. I then stamped the "here for you" from the SSS Well Wishes stamp set and die-cut it with the matching die. I attached that to the bottom of the card with foam tape beneath it. I die-cut the new Dreamy Daisy Layers from white cardstock and I pressed the center piece onto a WOW embossing pad and again embossed it with the Saltwater Taffy embossing glaze. I wanted everything to match haha.
I layered the flower pieces above the greeting. I added some Chalk Stick white Nuvo Drops. And I learned to embrace my VERY LARGE splotches on the front of this card!!!
I really do love this new Saltwater Taffy color as coral and teal are my all time favorite colors. I could never find just the right mix of the existing colors to satisfy my need for a soft pinkish coral, so now I am a happy or shall I say taffy girl! Thanks so much for visiting and happy weekend! Prayers to those in need as my heart is broken for them... Suzy
PS: Tomorrow (Sunday), I will have a "one stamp, five ways" post using the Wavy Circles cling stamp I used in this post so come back! I think I ended up with about 10 different ways to use it and now it is a favorite!
