This is the last of the limited edition holiday kits that will be released by SSS for this season. There was the Santa's Helpers December card kit, the Cozy Christmas Holiday Gift Card Kit, and the Season of Joy Holiday card kit - I believe two of them are still available (not the Cozy Christmas Holiday Gift Card Kit)! And today we have the Limited Edition Gift of Christmas Holiday Tag Kit being released. Here is an image:
I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using this kit and focusing on the stamp set in the kit. It is a 6x8 stamp set also called the Gift of Christmas. You can purchase it alone if you don't want the full kit or buy it with a set of matching dies as a bundle. Here is an image of the bundle.
And here are my projects using this kit! I made a couple of cards and quite a few tags. I am planning on making a lot more tags because I love making Christmas tags and I can never have enough!
These 3 tags are made with all items from the card kit. I'll give directions for each below the individual pictures.
I first stamped the wreath on one of the kraft tags in the kit with MFT Natural Ink. I had to stamp it with my Misti about 3 times so it would be dark enough to see on the kraft background. I then colored it in with colored pencils. The best pencils to use over colored cardstock are Luminance by Caran d'Ache and Prismacolor as they have more wax and give you better coverage. Also, i use the white Prismacolor pencil over colors to lighten and to add that waxy finish (see the leaves). I made a tag top with one of my older tag sets and glued it over the brown circle on this one. You can also remove those circles without tearing the tag which I did on others. I embossed "Merry Christmas" on the bottom of the tag using . I used the red washi tape in the kit on the bottom of the tag. I used the new Nuvo Holly Berries Jewel Drops over the berries. I also added some glossy white Nuvo drops around the wreath. I glued the finished tag to another tag so it was thicker. There are lots in the kit, so I was able to do that on all of the ones I made. I used some of the gold ribbon in the kit on all three of these tags - it was just enough for 3 tag tops.
I stamped the image on one of the white tags in the kit with Intense Black Ink. I colored in with colored pencils again. I used Tonic Crystal Glaze over the pot. I embossed the To and From from the stamp set on the bottom of the tag with Carnation Red embossing powder. I added Nuvo Holly Berries Jewel Drops over the berries again. I added a tag circle on the top and tied some of the gold ribbon in the kit in the top of the tag.
This time I stamped the Santa stamp on one of the kraft tags with MFT Natural Ink. I colored him in with primarily Prismacolor pencils. they look so good almost like I painted it! You can see on the boots how I colored them with black pencil and then used white over the centers. It lightens certain areas so I use it all the time to lighten and blend. I added a red circle to the top and gold ribbon again. I used Glossy White Nuvo drops around Santa. I embossed To and From with Ranger Red Carnation embossing powder.
For this tag, I embossed the snowman from the stamp set on the front of a kraft tag with white embossing powder. I also embossed several white snowflakes. I then colored it in with colored pencils including the sky. I attached a red topper to the center of the top of the tag. I died some blue twine in the center of the tag. I used black Nuvo drops over the bottoms and white Nuvo drops around the background. I used White Blizzard Nuvo Drops over the snow on the bottom of the snowman and also snowballs over the sky.
I made this card with primarily with the patterned papers in the kit. I started with the one that has a circle design on it. I then cut out many of the elements from other papers in the kit including the foliage and plants and the Santa head. There are so many cute images and I have a bunch more cut out to use on other tags (some are along the bottom of the photo). I layered many of the plant pieces over the wreath images that were on the original paper using foam tape beneath them so they were dimensional creating a 3D effect. I did the same on the top and used the Santa head and candles in the centers.
I added some Red Berry Nuvo Drops around the wreath. I embossed the sentiment with Red Geranium embossing powder. It is a slightly darker red than the Carnation Red one I usually use.
I created this shaker card by making a card front using SSS Silver Matte cardstock. I die-cut a piece to be just smaller than a card front and then die cut a circle out of the top center using the SSS Thin Circle Frame Dies. I ran it through my die-cut machine 3x using the SSS Pinpoint Starlets embossing folder in the kit. I attached a transparency behind it and then used foam tape under it (x 2 layers). I embossed the SSS Snowy Path embossing folder with white cardstock. I colored it with colored pencils. I used that behind the circle on the card front. I thenI poured PPP 3mm sparkling clear sequins, PPP Sparkling Clear Snowflakes, and Sparkling Clear Jewels on it. I attached the frame over it so the snowflakes and jewels move around on the inside.
I stamped the Santa from the Gift of Christmas stamp set with black ink on white cardstock. I colored him in with colored pencils. I attached him to the center of the circle on the card front. I embossed "happy Holidays" on a small PPP banner using Red Geranium embossing powder. I cut off the end and attached that to the top right side of the card. I added some Red Berry Nuvo drops around the sentiment. I used black Nuvo drops over the buttons on his jacket.
I attached the red plaid washi tape to white cardstock for this background. I die-cut it with a rectangle die to use on a card front. I ended up not using it, so i put it behind my tags. I made these two tags with the tag dies in the kit.
I used the smaller tag die in the kit for this tag. I die-cut one from white cardstock and the other from Lawn Fawn Guava cardstock. I layered the guava one behind the other. I made a tag circle for the top out of the same Guava cardstock. I also die-cut the "for you" die in the kit with the Guava cardstock and attached that to the top of the tag. I stamped a package from the samp set on the front of the tag and then I colored it in with colored pencils. I used some Grotto Green Glitter Nuvo Drops on the circles at the bottom of the tag.
I die-cut a tag using the larger tag die in the kit this time from both white cardstock and green cardstock. I layered them so the green sticks out at the bottom. I stamped the packages from the stamp set on the front of the card with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I embossed a sentiment on the tag with Cracked Pistachio embossing glaze. I added a green top circle and some Grotto Green Glitter drops around the tag and on the circles along the bottom of the tag.
That's quite a few ideas using the Limited Edition Gift of Christmas Holiday Tag kit by Simon Says Stamp. I hope you enjoyed this inspiration and that you like this kit. Happy belated Thanksgiving to all of you and thanks so much for visiting my blog! Suzy xoxo

Suzy, I hope this was the right place to leave a post for the Blog Hop giveaway?? After I posted my comment I noticed the only other comment was from November 28th, so I'm not sure if I did this right or not.
