Today is the Simon Says Stamp Homemade Holiday release. You can see many cards made with this beautiful release in the image above. It is full of embossing folders for both the holidays and the winter season. I love how versatile they will be for winter scenes. They have also re-released my set of Suzy's Holiday Tags bundled with two tag dies. When I drew these tags, I used these Large Tag Dies as the size/shape for them. I put light colored outlines around the tags so you can either cut them out or use the matching dies to die-cut them out. Here is am image of the new bundle:
If you already purchased the Suzy's Holiday Tags sold alone, you can buy the two tag dies as a set or you can buy the rounded one or the standard one separately if you prefer (ends up the same price for 2 either way). You can see my blog posts with all of these tags colored and decorated HERE and HERE. Here is an image of all 12 colored in one photo:
One of the exciting things in this new Handmade Holiday release is another set of 12 Pawsitively Saturated Dye Ink Pads called Gradient 2. There are now a total of 24 colors available - here is a link to all of the saturated ink products. I wanted to show you how I store mine and the color chart I made for them. You can see links for all 24 colors in my product list at the bottom of this post. They are sold as color families of 3 or individually or you can buy the first 12 pack called Gradient 1 and the second 12 pack called Gradient 2 released today as bundles.
This chart shows all of the colors from both sets. The first star is stamped just once and the second star is stamped twice. You get a much deeper color and the coverage is more smooth by stamping twice.
Today I have a card to share with you using a couple of the other new products in the release.
I started by embossing the Holly Branch Embossing Folder using white cardstock I lightly spritzed using my Ranger Mini Mister bottle. I run it through 3 times to get the deepest impression. I also like to use the SSS 120 lb. white cardstock as the thicker the paper, the better the impression. I cut this piece down so it would fit on a red card base.
Next I colored all of the raised images with Copic Markers. I then die-cut the new Etched Berry Branch Wafer Die from white cardstock. I colored that with the same colors of Copics as I used on the embossed images. I attached the branch die over the embossed images with foam tape beneath it for dimension. I used a white Uniball for dots on all of the berries.
I die-cut the Joy Wafer Die from the Peace On Earth release from white cardstock and Red Holographic paper for the frame. I glued them together and attached that to the front of the card. I added some sparkling clear sequins.
Tomorrow and the next day (Thursday and Friday the 11th and 12th) are blog hops to celebrate the new release. Please come back and visit on Thursday as I am part of day 1. You can see all of the cards that have been made using the new release in the Handmade Holiday Gallery. Make sure to add all of your cards to the gallery as well once you receive all of the products you order haha. Enjoy all of the inspiration and have a great week! Thanks for visiting, Suzy
