I have mentioned quite a few times now that I love gnomes. Every gnome stamp set is my new favorite! SSS released a new gnome set as part of their STAMPtember release with a Fall theme. There is a 6x8" stamp set called Halloween Gnomies and there is also a set of matching dies. You can also purchase them as a set as shown here:
I also used a couple other new products: the Tangled Web Embossing Folder from the Peace on Earth release and the Ghouls and Tree dies from the STAMPtember release. Here is my card:
I started this card by embossing the Tangled Web embossing folder with SSS 120 lb. cardstock. I use this cardstock because the thicker the paper, the better the embossed image does. I attached it to a black card base. I then drew over all of the embossed lines with a fine tip Micron black marker - I drew double lines so it looks more doodled and you can't tell when I mess up! I used an N2 gray Copic Marker to draw shadows under all of the lines.
I die-cut the tree in the Ghouls and Trees die from black and white cardstock. I colored the white one with gray Copics. I layered them with the black one on top and kind of twisted them around each other. I attached them over the spider web. I drew a ground with gray Copics.
I stamped the Boo from the Halloween Gnomies stamp set with black ink and colored it with Copics. I stamped the gnomes with MFT Natural Ink and colored them with colored pencils. I outlined them with a fine tip black marker with the double lines I use to cover up my mistakes. I also drew some black lines on some of the images and a white line by it as well. I attached them over the background.
I love this stamp set so much that I made another FIVE cards with it as well. I have a "one stamp, five ways" post using this Halloween Gnomies stamp set that will be on the Simon Says Stamp blog on Halloween Day. I hope you will come visit to see all my creations. These images were actually just left over from all of the other ones I made! It was a Halloween Gnomie kind of week over here. Thanks for visiting! Suzy
