Today's stamp set collaboration of the day is Paper Rose, STAMPtember is going strong and all of these collab sets are selling out so fast! The Paper Rose set is called Big Hello and it is GORGEOUS! Here is an image of the stamp:
Here is my card and it was made without the matching dies! (((humble brag or humble admittance of insanity)))
I decided I wanted to make a wreath with all of the little itty bitty flowers and leaves in the set. So I die-cut a piece of patterned paper to fit on the front of a white card base using an oval in the center from the SSS Nested Oval die set. I then embossed the big HELLO with WOW Bluetiful Embossing Powder. I stamped the inside of the Hello with two of the new SSS Ink colors - first I stamped it in the new SSS Ink called Seafoam. It's the lightest aqua color. Then I stamped it again in Surf, but only added the ink at the top and the bottom. I blended the colors a little with a colored pencil.
I stamped the little leaf and flower stamps over and over in MFT Natural Ink. I colored them all in with colored pencils. And then I fussy cut all of them out!!! I didn't know how many I would need to go around the wreath, so I just covered a piece of 5.5 x 4.25" paper with them and when they were all colored, they looked so pretty that way (like a random stamped background) that I didn't want to cut them up. But I already had the rest of my card made, so I did it. I arranged them all around the wreath and I had so many that I was able to stick some under others. It ended up with a very full wreath! I added some sparkling clear sequins.
I must admit that this card looks so much prettier in real life. I couldn't get a good picture of it - the color of the paper didn't photograph well. But with all the time I spent on it, maybe I'm not a good one to judge. I'm sorry to say this set is already sold out. My blog post went up a little late because I had a baby! Or more like my daughter had a baby, but I plan on making it mine - she just doesn't know that yet. I'll be on the news for an amber alert soon! I might not be back to do the next few sets since I had to grab a last minute flight and get out of town for a week a lot sooner than planned! So have a great rest of STAMPtember and I'll be back for the wrap up! xoxo suzy
