Considering I have a love all things critters, it will come as no surprise that Mama Elephant is one of my favorite stamp companies. They have the cutest designs. And today's STAMPtember collaboration stamp set of the day is no exception! It is called Gnomie Holidays and is sold alone or as a bundle with a matching set of dies. I have to say, I didn't have the dies and I sure wish I did. I fussy cut out all of the designs - go me! haha Here is an image of the bundle:
Considering my love of Mama Elephant stamp set and Gnomes, this one was a home run for me! I think it might be my favorite collaboration stamp set for this month. You can see all of the STAMPtember Collaboration stamp sets here. Keep in mind that most sell out really quickly and they are not restocked. Here is my card - I went with a mini slimline design:
I started by stamping ALL of the images in the stamp set and some more than once (mushrooms and logs) with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I then colored them all in with colored pencils. I added white dots to the boy hats with a white Uniball gel pen. Like I said above, I fussy cut all of the designs out which I have to admit that I rather enjoy doing so it doesn't bother me not to have matching dies. But I think I'm the exception on enjoying fussy cutting!
Next, I die-cut the Simon Says Stamp Mini Slimline Windows Die from white cardstock and then I die-cut the outside of it with the largest rectangle die in the Mini Slimline Rectangle die set. I painted a piece of Ranger Watercolor Paper with blue Daniel Smith Watercolor adding water droplets so it was messy looking. I attached pieces of that behind each of the three windows and then mounted the rectangle on a piece of Lawn Fawn Guava cardstock for the card base.
I arranged all of my colored images from the Gnomie Holidays stamp set in the top and bottom window. I embossed a sentiment from the set in the top of the center window with Hot Pink embossing powder. I added some of the extra logs and small mushrooms below it. I used White Blizzard Nuvo Drops over all of the snow on the different stamped images. I used Enchanting Pink Glitter Drops over the hearts. I used Rhubarb Crumble nuvo drops over the spots on the mushrooms. I used Chalk Stick Nuvo drops over the white areas of the stockings and bird hats.
Aren't these stamps just the cutest? I can't wait to see all of the other creations on the SSS Blog from all of the designers. I love seeing all the different takes on the same set. You can purchase the Gnomie Holiday stamp set here or the Gnomie Holiday set bundle here. You can view all of the STAMPtember collaboration stamp sets here (some are sold out) and all of the SSS STAMPtember products here. I hope you are enjoying the most fun month of the year at Simon Says Stamp! Suzy
