Today's STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is between Simon Says Stamp and Altenew. I am always a big fan of Altenew floral images, so I was excited to get my hands on this one! The stamp set is called From the Rose Bush and is sold as a bundle with a matching die set or is sold alone here. Here is an image of the stamp and die set:
I didn't have the dies, so I made another one layer card using the stamp set. I think all of my collab cards have been one layer so far! I'll have to switch that up!
I started my card by stamping the outline floral stamps and set of leaves randomly over a mini-slimline white cardstock piece using SSS Intense Black Ink. I tried to fit them together like a puzzle. I didn't use any of the matching set of stamps that allow you to shade the rose and leaves without coloring. I wanted to color in my images, so I just used the outline ones. I first colored all of the images in using Copic Markers.
I don't usually get the shading I want with Copics (maybe because I don't use them enough to get better at them!), so I used my colored pencils to add additional shading. This meant coloring over some of the images completely (the leaves) to change their color. Don't ask me why I do the things I do. Maybe so my cards will take even longer to make haha. I used a white Uniball Gel Pen on the edges of the roses to make them whiter. I stamped two of the sentiments on a pink cardstock banner using the Word Mix 2 Dies by SSS and black ink. I attached the banner to the left side of the card.
I die-cut this piece with the SSS Mini Slimline Rectangle Die. I then cut a pink cardstock frame using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Slimline with Hearts die. I cut it down to fit the mini slimline since it is meant for a full slimline design. I didn't think the seam was really noticeable - try to find it! I also added some different sequins that matched the colors I used in the card around the sentiment banner. I attached all of this to a white card base.
I could really use this stamp set more as there are so many images in it I didn't use. I also want to get the matching dies as it would be such a versatile set to use over and over. I hope you enjoyed my card using this From the Rose Bush stamp set. You can purchase it alone here or with the die as a set here - and remember that all of these exclusive collaboration stamp sets are until supplies last only as they will not be restocked. You can see all of the SSS STAMPtember release here.
I am in awe of your beautiful layout. Thank you for sharing.
