Today is the My Favorite Things September 2021 release. There are SO MANY CUTE PRODUCTS in this release! You can see the entire release HERE. I liked so many sets that I ended up using quite a few of them on one card! I made two slimline cards to share with you. The first card uses the new Stacey Yacula card called Christmas Carols. Here is an image of the stamp set:
My second card uses a few different sets including Paw La La La, Meowy Christmas, Special Delivery and the Fireplace Die. Here are images of each of these sets:
Here is my first slimline card using the Stacey Yacula Christmas Carols stamp set and matching dies:
This slim-line card uses the Stacey Yacula Christmas Carols stamp set and matching dies. I love this set SO much! It is just darling and I love the sentiments in it as well. Her sets are always my favorites though, so no surprise there! I started by stamping ALL of the images in the set ton white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I then colored them all in with colored pencils. I stamped the lights, stones, and snowflakes twice each so I made sure to have enough images to create a scene.
After all the images were colored, I arranged them on a blank white slimline size card front (3.5" x 8.5") so I could decide how to do the background. I used the MFT Slimline Snow Drifts die for the ground portion. I used Distress Oxide Inks and SSS Ink Brushes to color the sky and ground piece. I made the sky portion with Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks. I flicked water over the inks and dabbed them with a paper towel. I then flicked more of the ink over the background and some white acrylic paint over the background. I used two colors of Simon Says Stamp inks for the ground piece. I attached the ground over the sky to complete the background.
I attached all of the images over the background. I used foam tape behind many of them. I embossed the sentiment on the top of the card with Ranger white embossing powder. I used Chalk Stick Nuvo Drops around the card to look like additional snow. I used some of the Nuvo Glitter Drops in the center of the snowflakes.
My second card uses all of the stamp sets I listed above:
My second card is another slim-line design. I can't resist using this size to create scenes and the MFT stamps I use are always perfect for creating scenes! I stamped all of the images from the Paw La La La and Meowy Christmas stamp sets. I stamped just the gifts from the Special Delivery stamp set. I colored all of the images in with colored pencils. I wanted to use the tree first, but then I realized all of the kitty images would go so well with the tree. These sets seem to just be made to go together!
I made the background with a strip of white paper colored with gray inks. I then made the upper portion with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink and the MFT Slimline Brick Wall Stencil. I thought this stencil would work perfectly for an indoor scene. After I made the background and started arranging all of the stamped images over it, I decided to use the new Fireplace Die. I die-cut it from white cardstock and then used inks to color it. I applied glitter glue to the fire pieces. I used the same stencil over the main part of the fireplace to add bricks to it. I attached the fireplace to the left side of the background of the card. I used the little sitting kitty on top of it with foam tape behind it. I attached the tree in the center of the card and all of the other cats, gifts, and yarn balls around the front of the card.
I stamped a sentiment from the Meowy Christmas stamp set (cut it in half) with black ink on the top right side of the card. I used Nuvo Glitter Drops over many of the elements on the card such as the presents, the tree star, and the large bulb. I used some Black Board and Chalk Stick Nuvo drops around the sentiment.
That's it for my use of the brand new MFT release for September 2021! I think I used about as many sets as possible in this release on just two cards - go me haha! I hope you enjoyed these two cards and thank you so much for visiting! suzy
So much to take in these two cards.
