Today is the start of a month long party at Simon Says Stamp that they do every year called STAMPtember. We all look forward to it every year as in our hobby, it is definitely Christmas! The amount of products they have to release this month is amazing! I've never seen so many products in one release! You can see the whole product release here. There are also daily stamp set releases that are collaborations with all of your favorite stamp companies. I'll be blogging those stamp sets all month!
Today I have a card to share with you using MY ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE stamp set from this release called Big Day. It is sooooo me - cute little girls and lots of flowers and things to color pink! I also used a new slimline card die called Detail Petal Slim Plate. I'll be sharing that in just one minute.
I have a new set of watercolor cards that are part of this release called Welcome Autumn. I'll show you the set now and then tomorrow during the STAMPtember party, I'll show you 3 of them colored made into cards. There are 6 designs with 2 prints of each printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper.
And now for the Big Day stamp set. You can purchase it alone or you can also purchase the set of dies that goes with it. OR you can buy it as a bundle. Here is an image of the bundle:
And here is my slim-line card using it:
I had to make a slim-line because I wanted to use ALL of the images in this darling stamp set. I started by stamping them all in MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I then colored them all in with colored pencils. I realized as I often do that I wanted them to have outlines, so I used a fine tip black marker to add lines around them. I had a lot of fun decorating their dresses!
For the background of the card, I used the new Detail Petal Slim Plate and white cardstock. I just love this lovely simplicity. It is kind of how I like my house to be decorated - lots of white for the background with just fine details and then bursts of color on top. I had fun arranging all of these images on the background. I used 3 of the fences below the flowers. And I ended up using flowers all over this card front!
I stamped the "oh happy day" stamp on the banner with black ink. I used foam tape behind many of the images to add dimension. I added some glitter Nuvo drops to the flowers. I used a white Uniball gel pen over many of the decorations on the dresses. I added a blue cardstock card that was just slightly bigger than the white background so it was framed.
I can't wait to use this darling Big Day stamp set for more cards. It has so many sentiment options so I know I will get lots of use out of it. Make sure to visit Simon Says Stamp to see all of the STAMPtember release items as there are a lot! And come visit tomorrow to see another post as part of the STAMPtember release party! Thanks so much for visiting! Suzy
