I've been traveling. I took my youngest daughter to school in Utah. Not fun times. Empty nest sucks. Ok, so now for the good part of this post. Before I go to bed at night I love to color as it relaxes me. So while I was traveling, I colored the Inkon3 Triple Rose stamp set as coloring roses is my favorite! Here is an image of the stamp set:
This stamp contains just one image - a cluster of roses that are so detailed and perfect I had to buy it. Here is my card with it:
I started by die-cutting a piece of Neenah 110 lb. cardstock with the Simon Says Stamp Slimline Card Rectangle Dies (largest one). Then I stamped the Inkon3 Triple Rose stamp on both sides of the rectangle with MFT Natural Ink.
Next, I colored in the roses with colored pencils using reds, pinks, and purples. I used a white Prismacolor pencil to lighten areas of each rose. I used a white Uniball gel pen to lighten the edges of each petal.
I attached the colored image to a purple cardstock slimline card (8.5" x 3.5"). I die-cut the Simon Says Stamp CZ Love You die with the same cardstock and white letters. I attached that to the top of the card. I used a pre-printed "always" sentiment from SSS to complete the greeting. I used some sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment.
I don't know about you, but I really like this card. I don't like my daughter leaving me for college. But I do like the coloring I did while my heart was broken. So there. I hope you like it too! I'll be happier next time I post. Have a great week and stay safe and well! xoxo Suzy
