I made a card with the greeting "you are enough" to share with you and because I need to hear that today (and everyday), I titled my blog post with that greeting in all caps! This card is made with the Delicate Outline Flowers Background stamp by Simon Says Stamp from their last release called Rainbows. Here is an image of the stamp set:
I also used the new "You Are Enough" wafer die as my greeting which is also part of the Rainbows Release. Here is my card (which you might have seen as it was front and center on the banner announcing the release).
This card was so simple - especially if you love coloring like I do. I stamped the Delicate Outline Flowers cling stamp with Intense Black Ink on a piece of white cardstock cut to 5.5" x 4.25". I then colored all of the flowers in with colored pencils. I use my white Prismacolor pencil A LOT! I use it to blend colors and to add white details to the flowers. It softens the colors also and blends darker into lighter shades. It is a bit opaque, so you can actually color over a color and get close to a pure white which is awesome. Because Prismacolor are so waxy, I find this white to work the best for blending. I also like the Luminance white for blending. And I always use a Caran d'Ache blender pencil to blend.
After they were all colored, I used the Lawn Fawn Just Double Stitching rectangle die to add a frame of sorts to the card front and I attached it to a white card base. I die-cut the new "You Are Enough" script greeting from both white cardstock and black cardstock. I used the white frame and the black letters. I couldn't decide which way I liked it better as the black frame with the white letters looked really good too. I added some sparkling clear sequins. I also re-outlined the inside of the flowers with a black fine tip pen to make them darker. After you color over things with colored pencils, the black lines tend to get lighter, so I usually go over them again with a black fine tip pen just to darke=n them up.
I hope you liked this card and I really hope you know YOU ARE ENOUGH!!! Because I don't know that. I live my life being so hard on myself and always feeling inadequate and like I'm never enough. So I don't want other people to have to live with that burden as well. I might need to put this card on my dresser or frame it to remind myself daily! We are ALL enough! Thanks for visiting today and have a great weekend friends! Suzy
