Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using stamp set from the Born to Sparkle release. Tonight is the newest Simon release called Rainbows, so I wanted to fit one more in with a stamp from the last release. The stamp that I am using is a 4" x 6" stamp called Window Box Blooms and it has a matching set of dies which is great. Here is an image of the stamp and the die which are also sold as a bundle:
CARD 1:
I wanted to make a mini slim-line card with one of the flower pots and the window from the Window Box Blooms set. I was trying to decide what to do for the background and I remembered I had this brick background stamp by MFT. I stamped it with black ink making sure it only covered a portion of the back. I colored it in with Copic Markers blending lighter colors as I got closer to the edges. I attached it to a card base of Lawn Fawn Guava cardstock - my favorite color ever (a nice blend between pink and red).
I stamped the flowers and window with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock from the Window Box Blooms stamp set. I colored them in with Copics as well. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set on the front of the pot with black ink. I die-cut these pieces out as well as two more windows. I attached my colored window to two others so it would be more dimensional. I attached that to the background first and then used the inside pieces as well. I used foam tape behind the pot so it stood out also. I added some Chalk Stick Nuvo Drops and some Lawn Fawn Lemon cord to finish the card.
CARD 2:
I embossed three of the window stamps with white embossing powder on Arches watercolor paper. I tried to space them evenly so I could use them as a background. I also embossed three of the pots with white embossing powder. I painted all of the images in with Karin Brushmarkers. I die-cut the pots and attached them with foam tape over the windows.
I cut the piece down and matted it on a fuchsia card base. I used SSS Antique Gold embossing powder to stamp the "thank you" greeting from the stamp set on the center pot. I added some sparkling clear sequins around the pots.
CARD 3:
I love using OLD patterned papers on my cards! This one is die-cut with the SSS Stitched Rectangle Dies. I also die-cut a circle from the top center using the SSS Stitched Circle Dies. I made a white frame with the Pretty Pink Posh Hug die and just cut the word out of the center. It fit perfectly over my circular opening. I attached vellum under the circle over a white card base. I then embossed another one of the pots with white embossing powder and die-cut it out. I watercolored it with Karin Brushmarkers.
I attached the pot to the center of the circle. I die-cut the new CZ Swoopy Thank You Die from yellow and white cardstock and I glued the yellow over a white one so the letters were more dimensional. I attached these to a white frame and attached it under the circle. I added a small secondary sentiment from the Encouraging Words Sentiment Strips below the thank you. I used some Pretty Pink Posh Marigold Jewels around the sentiment and on the center of some of the flowers.
I wanted to make a "random stamped" background card like I usually do. This time I used only the wreath stamp. I turned it all different directions and overlapped some and not others. I just wanted to create a pretty pattern with it. I used MFT Natural Ink and then colored them with colored pencils. I have no idea why I used these two colors, but I guess it works! I cut the piece down and attached it to a fuchsia card base.
I tied some Lawn Fawn Aquamarine cord along the top of the card. I used a banner from the SSS Words 2 Dies die-cut from teal cardstock to match the wreaths. I embossed a sentiment from the stamp set with white embossing powder on it (I also cut the word "wishes" from another sentiment to add to the bottom so it filled out the banner better). I added some sparkling clear sequins to the top.
CARD 5:
I embossed the SSS Sweet Garden Cling Stamp with Ranger Kirsch Flamingo Embossing Glaze. I die-cut that with a rounded edge rectangle and attached it to a pink card base. I then used the SSS Lumen Embossing Folder over a piece of white cardstock. I cut out an oval from that using the SSS Nested Oval dies. I attached the oval over the center of the background.
I stamped one of the potted plants with tulips in it with black ink and colored them in with Copics. I die-cut that out and attached it to the top of the oval. I then used the "Hang In There" die for the sentiment. I used a piece of painted pink watercolor paper for the words and attached them to a white frame. I attached that below the pot. I die-cut a sentiment from the Reverse Encouraging Words Sentiment Strips using a banner die and attached that to the bottom of the card. I added some sparkling clear sequins and a small butterfly I had in my stash of extra stamped goodies that came from some previous SSS stamp set!
I hope you enjoyed this little last foray into the Born to Sparkle release using the Window Box Blooms Bundle. My blog post for the Rainbow release will be up in one more hour, so make sure to visit that one as well! xoxo Suzy
