My Favorite Things June 2021 New Product Release

I love the My Favorite Things monthly releases. They have some of my favorite illustrators and it is always so fun working with their new products! Today I had quite a few tempting stamp sets to pick from as I love so many from this June Release! The Stacey Yacula set was my favorite this month, so I made a slim line card with the new Stacey Yacula stamp set called Spa Day. Here is an image of the stamp and the matching set of dies:

I had to make a slim-line to have maximum real estate to work on so I could use all of these cute images to create my scene!

I wanted the background of my "bathroom scene" to look like flooring and wallpaper. I decided to head to my patterned paper collection. I easily found this wood one in a 6x6 pad from one of my past SSS card kits. I looked through all of the MFT 6x6 pads for a "wallpaper" to use. Unfortunately I found about 6 different ones I liked. Making the decision which one to use was the toughest part of making this card! I ended up using this yellow dot one. I attached the two papers in the center of the slim-line card. Because I was using 6x6" papers, I had a seam on each. I put the seam under the rug for the floor and under the shower head for the wallpaper. Now I had a cute bathroom for these adorable stamp images! And using paper is much easier than other options for backgrounds!

I stamped all of the images from the Spa Day stamp set with Intense Black Ink. I stamped some of the items multiple times like the towels that I knew I would use multiple times in my scene. I colored them all in with colored pencils. I have no idea how I ended up with this color scheme - coral pink, naples yellow, and teal green. But i like it! I also added some wood color to the two little tables. I die-cut all the pieces out with the matching Spa Day dies.

Now for the fun part. I got to create a scene in my bathroom. I used foam tape under the top of items and glued the bottom down. I used a silver glitter pen over the bath legs. I used clear Nuvo drops over all of the bubbles in the tub and on the top of the perfume bottles. I also added some gray jewell Nuvo drops over the shower head.

Considering I'm in process of renovating my bathroom right now, I really enjoyed creating this little bath scene. It did make me think of adding yellow polka dot wall paper though hahaha. I love this stamp set so much. I can imagine using it for a lot of smaller cards with less of the images and I've seen many cute ones on IG with it. I think Spa Day might be one of my favorites from Stacey Yacula so far! Thanks so much for visiting. I'll have another card to share in a couple days using the Rachelle Anne Miller sets.
