I made a card today! I used several products from the SSS Born To Sparkle Release. First I used that gorgeous new embossing folder called Magnolia Branches. I've seen such gorgeous cards made with it. Unfortunately it wasn't the main event on my card, so it gets lost in the background of my white photo. I also used the new Wood Flower Cluster Stamp. Do you like wood stamps? I enjoy how well they stamp. I thought I would miss using my Misti as I always stamp images twice. But the wood stamps stamp perfectly just once! And last, I used the new Wishing You Joy dies. Here is the card:
I started by embossing the Magnolia Branches embossing folder on white cardstock. I rubbed a small ink pad I had from a wayyyyy long time ago over the embossed edges. It is a light pink with a sheen and I can't remember the name of it! I cut this piece down and mounted it on a magenta card base.
I stamped the Wood Flower Cluster Stamp with Intense Black Ink and colored it with Copic Markers. Yes, Copics. But then I added some additional shading with my colored pencils - I couldn't resist! I cut around the edges and attached it to the top of the card front with foam tape underneath it.
I die-cut the new "wishing you joy" die from both white cardstock and black cardstock. I layered it with the black letters showing and used Black Board Nuvo Drops for the top of the i's (because I always lose them!). I attached that to the bottom of the card. I added some sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment.
And that is it for today folks! I had to put my dog down today - she was my beloved soul mate. I've cried so hard my eyes hurt and it's taken me about 3 hours to type this blog post! Hopefully you are all having a much better day today! xoxo suzy
So very sorry for your loss. Sending hugs.❤️
