Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using a stamp from the SSS new All the Feels release called Happy Meowther's Day. I have also used many of the other new products in this release on the cards, so you will see lots of new stuff in action! I hope you enjoyed the 2 day blog hop. I had my post up Friday you can see HERE with some of my new Sunshine and Rainbows watercolor cards painted. Here is an image of the Happy Meowther's Day card and die sold as a bundle:
And here are my five cards:
CARD 1: Happy Meowther's Day
I made this card with two different colored banners so you get to decide which one I should attach haha! I started by die-cutting the SSS Rainbow Heart die from the center of a card size piece of white cardstock. I removed the pieces and colored them with Copics creating a dark red down to light pink rainbow. I glued them all to a white card base. I then embossed a sentiment from the Happy Meowther's Day stamp set with white embossing powder on a dark gray banner (next card) and a dark red banner. Both banners are die-cut with the larger banner from the SSS Word Mix 2 dies. I use that banner a lot and it fit the sentiments from this set perfectly.
Here is the one with a gray banner. Which do you prefer?
I stamped the cute little kitty, the speech bubble, and the 3 foot prints from the Happy Meowthers Day stamp set with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I colored them in with colored pencils and die-cut them. I attached them to the front of the card over the heart design. I used red glossy Nuvo Drops over the heart and added some red drops around the sentiment banner. I used Black Board Nuvo Drops for the kitties eyes.
CARD 2:
I have two versions of this card as well as I couldn't decide which color kitty I preferred hahaha. I have a hard time making decisions if I haven't made that obvious by now in all my blogging. I think I have this problem on every single post! I started by making the background frame with a black frame die-cut from the PPP Stitched Notes die. I then die-cut a red frame from the SSS A2 Thin Frame Dies (this was the negative space between two of the thin frame dies). I made the background with the new Front Porch stamp set stamped on white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I colored it in with colored pencils. I then stamped the rug from the Front Porch Doormat Sayings stamp set also with black ink. I die-cut it out with the matching dies. I colored it in with Copics and attached it to the front porch.
I stamped the cat and the speech bubble from the Happy Meowthers Day stamp set with black ink. I colored them in with Copic markers. I attached both with foam tape underneath so they are raised. This card shows the cat in black where the card above has the cat in white. I think I prefer the white one. This black one was my original one, but I thought the kitty got lost on the busy rug, so I switched it to white and attached it over the black one. With removable adhesive. In case someone tells me black looks better. haha
I attached the frame over the background. I then embossed the sentiment with Ranger Carnation Red embossing powder. I stamped the smaller sentiment with Intense Black Ink. I used some Black Board Nuvo Drops around the sentiments.
CARD 3:
This is my random stamping card that I always do. I stamped all of the kitties from the stamp set with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I colored them all in with colored pencils. I die-cut this piece and mounted it on a red cardstock base.
I die-cut a rectangle from the MFT A2 Rectangle Frame Dies to match the card base. I embossed a sentiment from the stamp set on it with white embossing powder. I used some Red Berry Gloss Nuvo Drops around the sentiment.
CARD 4:
I started this card with a background made with the new Sweet Garden Background stamp. I embossed it with white embossing powder and then I rubbed Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink over it. I die-cut that piece into a smaller rounded corner rectangle and attached it to a white card base. I die-cut the new MFT Garden Gate die from white cardstock and attached that over the background. I used a gray colored pencil to add shading to it and chalk board Nuvo drops over the clasps.
I stamped the kitties on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and I attached them to the background with foam tape under the two facing the back. I cut around the arm/paw of the third kitty and tucked him behind the gate. I stamped two of the sentiments from the set on banners and attached them to the top and bottom of the card. I added some more Chalk Board Nuvo drops around the sentiments and also some glossy Nuvo drops over the kitty collars.
CARD 5:
My last card uses two of the new dies. I used the largest Mini Slimline Rectangle die for the white portion of this card. I then used the Mini Slimline Windows die for the inside openings. It includes sentiments inside each window which are great for cards as well. I stamped two of the rugs from the Front Porch Doormat Sayings stamp set in High Dive for the blue and a Hero Arts ink called Pale Tomato. I put the two rugs under the top and bottom opening and used white cardstock under the center. I attached this piece to a turquoise cardstock card base.
I stamped the two cats on white cardstock with MFT natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I die-cut them out and attached them over the two rugs. I embossed the sentiment with Garden Patina embossing powder. I embossed 3 hearts with Carnation Red embossing powder and die cut them out and attached them around the sentiment. I added some Chalk Stick Nuvo Drops.
I'm so happy that I had all these new products to play with this week. T/hey all worked so well together. Lucky me! I hope you like the new All the Feels release too! If you need lots of inspiration, head to the All the Feels Gallery to see everything in both days of the blog hop. Thanks for visiting today! xoxo suzy
