A few days ago, SSS released a new limited edition card kit called Spring Gnomies. It sold out immediately of course! BUT, the cute stamp set that was in it is still available also called Spring Gnomies. I posted a "one stamp, five ways" post using the stamp set and my newest set of Spring Gnome watercolor cards which are also still available. Today I have one MORE card to share with you using the stamp set.
Like I said above, this slimline card focuses on the stamp set, not the other elements of the Spring Gnomies kit. I started by using the MFT Slimline Cloud Edges stencil and some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink for the sky. I die-cut a piece of grass using the MFT Grassy Hills dies. I colored it with a sponge applicator and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink. I glued that to the bottom of the card front. I cut this piece to be a bit smaller than a card front so I would have a white border around it.
I stamped all of the images from the Spring Gnomies stamp set on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I colored them all in with colored pencils. I embossed the sentiment with Ranger Pink Peony embossing powder. I attached all of the images around the background and greeting.
I used Nuvo glitter drops over several areas of the gnomes and used Sherbet Shimmer over the word "spring". I also added some white drops with Chalk Board Nuvo drops.
I love making slimline Easter cards and I have about 6 that all look basically the same except for the different stamps I used. I think this Spring Gnomies stamp set is just darling. If you haven't seen my Spring Gnome watercolor cards yet, here is an image and they are still available:
Are you enjoying this Easter season? It is definitely my favorite of all holidays. I hope you enjoyed this slimline card today and thank you as always for visiting! Suzy
