I wanted to color this stamp last year when it was released, but I never got a chance. It's called Tulip Background and it is very detailed. Here is an image:
Here is my the card I made with my colored image:
I started by stamping the Tulip Background stamp with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I used my colored pencils to color it. I have a combination of Prismacolors, Polychromos by Faber Castelle, and Luminance and Pablos by Caran d'Ache. I mix them all up together by color in baggies. My favorites are the Polychromos and Pablos. My least favorite are the Prismacolors as they are so waxy. BUT, I love using the white Prismacolor over other colors to blend and lighten them. I colored it over all of these flowers and leaves to soften them.
Once I colored the image, I attached it to a white card base. I die-cut a white frame using the A2 Thin Frame Dies. I lined up two of them and used the negative space between them. I like the size of those frames for lots of things too - another plus to that die set. I attached the frame over the tulips.
I die-cut the largest Sentiment Banner Die out of white cardstock. I used a sentiment from another set that came out last year called Spring Gnomes. I embossed it with Cactus Flower embossing powder. I stamped a tulip from the Hello Easter stamp set I illustrated last year with MFT Natural Ink. I also colored it in with colored pencils. I used the matching dies to die-cut it and attached it above the sentiment banner. I realized after I photographed it, that the greens don't match - it wasn't as noticeable in real life! I added some sparkling clear sequins to finish it.
That's it for today! Thank you so much for visiting. I hope you like this Tulip Background stamp by SSS. I have obviously pulled out ALL of my Easter stamps from last year and I love revisiting them again! Take care, suzy
