Today is the Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful release - February 24th at 12:00 am EST. There are so many cute new stamp sets to choose from for a "one stamp, five ways" post. Of course I went with the Easter set since they are always my favorite! It is a 6" x 8" stamp set called Bunny Blessings and it also has matching dies or you can buy it as a bundle. Here is an image of the set:
Here are my 5 cards. I made 3 regular sized cards, 1 slim-line card, and 1 mini-slim-line card.
CARD 1:
I actually used patterned paper for this card and one other. I don't usually use paper except on cards using the monthly card kits. I pulled this one out from a Lawn Fawn 6x6 pad I've had for a while. I cut it to fit on a standard card size front. I die-cut a frame using the A2 Thin Frame Dies (this is the negative space between two of the thin frames). I attached that over a piece of white cardstock and used foam tape behind it to adhere it to the plaid paper.
I have the dies for the Bunny Blessings stamp set, so I used them on almost every card. I stamped the bunny/carrot image with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock and colored it in with Copic markers. I stamped the flowers and the grass and the butterfly with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock and colored them in with colored pencils. I didn't intense to mix my no-line images with the black line images, but I had leftover items, so I combined them. I embossed the sentiment from the stamp set with Ranger Orange embossing powder. I tied some Lawn Fawn Lemon twine around the top of the framed area. I added some Chalk Stick Nuvo Drops around the images. I like the Chalk Stick drops because they are matte instead of glossy like the regular white drops.
CARD 2:
I used ALL the small images in the stamp set to do a "random stamped" background for a card. This included several eggs in two sizes, 2 flowers, a carrot, and 2 butterflies. I colored them all in with colored pencils. This picture makes them look a little washed out - they are actually brighter than this. I attached this piece to a white card base.
I die-cut a white frame using the negative frame space from the SSS A2 Thin Frame dies. I attached it over lavender cardstock and attached that to the bottom front of the card. I die-cut the new Carrot wafer die from orange and 2 colors of green cardstock. I adhered it first and added some details and shading with colored pencils and a white uniball. . I then stamped the bunny that has the bubbles on white cardstock with black ink. I colored it in with Copics and die-cut it. I cut the bubbles off and attached it to the rectangle. I embossed Hoppy Easter with white embossing powder. I added some colored sequins around it.
CARD 3:
I made a slimline card using the new Chunky Slimline Scalloped Rectangle dies. I die-cut the largest one from white cardstock. I die-cut the largest rectangle from the SSS Slimline Nested Rectangle dies. The second largest one fits perfectly into the largest scallop frame die. I rubbed blue ink on this piece using Ranger Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass,Salty Ocean, and Mermaid Lagoon. I made a slim-line card base with pink cardstock that is 9" x 4" (I usually make my slimline cards to be 8.5" x 3.5", but the envelopes by Simon are larger, so I made this one the right size to fit in the envelope snugly - this gave me the ability to add a frame/matte to the largest new scallop frame die). I attached the scallop frame over the pink card base and the inked rectangle over the scallops for the background of the card.
I embossed a sentiment from the set with Pink Peony embossing powder on the top center of the card. I stamped all of the images from the stamp set with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock and colored them in with colored pencils. I die-cut them all out with the matching dies. I attached all of the images over the card front tucking the eggs and flowers under the grass edges.
I used glitter Nuvo Drops over the eggs and butterflies. I used Love Potion Potion Nuvo Dream drops around the images to finish the card.
CARD 4:
This is my second card that uses patterned paper. I die-cut this paper (no idea where I got it!) with the largest Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die and attached it to a card base. I die-cut a piece of pink plaid paper with a circle die and adhered that over it. I then used the MFT Stitched Scallop Frame Circle Dies to die-cut a white frame and attached that over the pink paper.
I stamped the bunny and balloons with black ink and colored them in with Copics. I die-cut them out and attached them over the circle. I used a preprinted sentiment strip that came with one of the card kits. I finished the card with Chalk Stick Nuvo Drops. I wanted to show this stamp set can be used for non-Easter themed cards. The balloon image makes it work well for birthday cards as well!
CARD 5:
This is my mini-slimline card. I cut a piece of white cardstock for the front that is 6.25" x 3" (the envelopes by Simon are 6.5" x 3.25"). I used Distress Oxide Ink over the top of this with the new Kitsch Flamingo on the top and Mowed Lawn on the bottom. I stamped all of the images on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I cut the trees to fit on the 2 sides of the card.
I attached the bunnies and the flowers and grass and some butterflies. I used glitter nuvo drops over the butterflies and flower centers. I used Nuvo Glaze over the bubbles. I embossed the sentiment with green embossing powder. I added some drops of Chalk Stick Nuvo Drops.
